Aleks Craine Delivers Stellar Solo Production ‘Rooftop’!

After coming in contact with music at the very young age of 5, Swiss/Russian artist Aleks Craine was destined to make an impact in the music industry. Learning how to play the piano and violin has helped her shape her own signature melodic style that we can see in each and every one of her releases. She become fascinated by electronic music through her older sister who was listening to the dance hits of the late 1990’s. After moving from Russia to Switzerland she experimented with some music softwares from time to time but didn’t invest all of her time into it. At the age of 20, she learned how to DJ by herself, attending a regional DJ contest and since then she has started to play at various clubs and events in Switzerland.
Producing her own music came natural along with DJing. After only few months of producing she released her very first bootleg of ‘Guitar Track’ by Sander van Doorn and Firebeatz under her first alias LexapgL. Always wanting to strive for bigger and better things in her career, she will be attending SAE Institute Zürich, a music production school to improve her skills.
Today we take a look back at one of her best releases of 2018, ‘Rooftop’. This single opens up with eery synths and sounds which set a dark tone for the production. As the track continues, Aleks Craine adds low lying bass lines into the single which gives it a dancey vibe. The very well placed vocal sample which says “I wanted to write some hard shit, some blow of the rooftop shit” tells the listener to expect some harder sounds which Aleks Craine delivers in spades, as punchy kicks and deep pulsating bass lines take to the forefront. For the break down, Aleks Craine shows off her melodic style very briefly before heading back to her harder tech style.

New EDM Friday returns with a fresh batch of tunes by Dimitri Vegas, David Guetta, Loreen FISHER, Oliver Heldens, and more.
New EDM Friday is back once again with fresh music from Dimitri Vegas, David Guetta, Loreen, FISHER, Oliver Heldens, EDX, WHIPPED CREAM, and more. This week’s roundup is overflowing with massive collabs, dancefloor-ready anthems, and genre-blurring heat that shows just how wide the EDM landscape has become.
Dimitri Vegas, David Guetta, Loreen – Pum Pum
Two dance music giants take an unexpected detour into drum & bass territory with ‘Pum Pum’, the first-ever DnB release from Dimitri Vegas and David Guetta. Featuring powerhouse Swedish vocalist Loreen, the track is a high-octane blend of rapid-fire percussion, fierce energy, and an unforgettable vocal hook. It’s bold, genre-bending, and marks a fresh chapter for all three artists involved.
FISHER, bbyclose – Blackberries
EDX – Moyo
Swiss house icon EDX returns with ‘Moyo’, a powerful, rhythm-driven single that blends his signature progressive style with tribal-inspired textures and deep club grooves. Out now via PinkStar Recordings, the track’s title, meaning “heart” in several South African languages, perfectly reflects its emotional and percussive core. From immersive, hypnotic builds to a driving drop built for late-night floors, ‘Moyo’ captures both movement and meaning. As EDX celebrates the 25th anniversary of his influential Sirup Music imprint, this release proves he’s still innovating, evolving, and shaping the global house scene with every beat.
WHIPPED CREAM – collide
WHIPPED CREAM unleashes collide, a genre-bending festival anthem that pushes her sonic vision to bold new heights. Out now via Monstercat, the track opens with haunting vocals, delivered by WHIPPED CREAM herself, before escalating into a euphoric drop packed with pulsating bass, rapid hi-hats, and a futuristic Eurodance edge. It’s raw, emotional, and high-energy all at once, showcasing her rare ability to blend powerful songwriting with leftfield electronic production. Following recent standouts like ‘never mine’ and ‘u don’t just wanna die’, collide cements WHIPPED CREAM’s status as one of the most innovative voices in modern dance music.

Dreamstate is a staple of the U.S. trance scene known for its euphoric energy. It will be taking place on November 21–22 in Long Beach, California. The stunning waterfront venue is also right next to the iconic Queen Mary. Dreamstate stands as one of the few large-scale trance festivals in the country, alongside newer events like Into the Sequence.
Tiësto’s appearance at Dreamstate will follow up his surprise “In Search of Sunrise” set at EDC Las Vegas earlier this year. Overall, the set was an emotional throwback to his origins in trance. It served as a reminder of the timeless sound that first launched his global career. With this Dreamstate set marking only his second trance performance of 2025, fans are left wondering: is this the beginning of a full-blown trance resurgence for Tiësto?
While the success of his genre-blending Prismatic Tour is still fresh, many fans are hopeful that more classic sets—or even a dedicated return to trance tour—could be on the horizon.
