Bakermat Links Up With Kidda On Piano-Led New Single ‘Under The Sun’!

Dutch dance music favorite Bakermat has collaborated with UK artist Kidda on new single ‘Under The Sun’, out now via Ultra.

Marking Bakermat’s first release of the new decade, ‘Under The Sun’ is a fresh, funky slice of house music, underpinned by airy pianos and feel-good brass. With a vocal sample repeating the lyrics “all the joys under the sun”, it’s fair to say this is a track made with summer in mind.

The single is accompanied by an official music video which chronicles the adventures of Matt Baker, the animated dog that fans will recognize as a recurring character in Bakermat’s visuals.

For Bakermat, it all started back in 2012, with debut single ‘One Day (Vandaag)’. He has since built up a global fan base consisting of young people looking for something more than simply mainstream or underground music. The Dutchman is proud to be in the grey area between these two, serving people with original and creative music without being incomprehensible or cheesy.

Besides his studio creations, Bakermat distinguishes himself with his live performances, adding live musicians to his sets and hosting his own concept ‘Bakermat presents The Circus’. The series has touched down in cities like London, New York, Amsterdam, Paris and Rio de Janeiro in recent years, while he has also hosted stages at TomorrowlandAirbeat One Festival, SW4 and various other major festivals. In March, he will be making his way to Miami for a string of shows during Miami Music Week, along with performances across the US, Canada, France, Spain and the UK this summer.

Something of a veteran of the UK dance music scene, Kidda is currently signed to Skint Records, the label founded by the legendary Fatboy SlimKidda is also a video producer who has completed animation work for the stage shows of some of the world’s biggest stars including Kanye West and Rihanna.

A carefree disco-house cut, ‘Under The Sun’ is destined to soundtrack countless festivals in the coming months.
