Colorado native Chuck Shadow has just delivered an overdue edit of one of his favorite artists of all time. His dream of becoming a DJ and producer began many years ago. Being an avid fan of the iconic artist Mr. Oizo, and subsequently Ed Banger Records since the mid 2000’s spurred this dream into a reality. When asked why this edit was created, Chuck Shadow said: “When a fan of mine requested I remix Mr. Oizo‘s ‘Positif’ I was more than happy to go for it.”
Chuck Shadow sets the tone for a very creative edit right from the start, introducing a dark and deep bass line on top of some of the originals samples. This then leads into the first drop where Chuck Shadow adds the original top line synth melody over a punchy kick and bass line. As the edit progresses, Chuck Shadow switches it up with more modern synths and sounds that take this edit to the next level. This edit is proof that you should keep a close eye on this American artist.
