New York-based artist Dapolito has been plying his trade within the electronic dance music scene for several years. He started out by promoting around NYC area back in 2013 as part of the promotional group “#DREAMTEAM” selling tickets and promoting events at venues such as PACHA NYC, and Governors Island. He continued to promote and work in the industry, nailing jobs with more promotional companies. In 2015, he finally took the step and began to self-teach himself DJing and producing. Since 2017, Dapolito has been landing DJing gigs in the NYC area even opening for big acts such as EDX.
Dapolito had spent the following 2+ years perfecting his craft and is finally taking the step to releases unto the world. “Because of what is going on in the world, and the uncertainties that lie ahead, I wanted to ensure that my art and music were put out for the world to hear.” says Dapolito. Suffering from depression has been a big part in Dapolito holding off on his releases, but luckily for us, in 2020, he has overgrown this self-doubt and wants anyone else who may be dealing with the same problems, to do the same.
2020 has started off in a high-note for Dapolito, as he has been personally invited to perform at a Cystic Fibrosis charity event, run by Kristy O, being the only DJ on the card. This is a really good cause and Dapolito is happy to be apart of it, with tickets being available here.
For this release, Dapolito showcases his skills within the studio. Delivering in style, Dapolito blends styles of techno and progressive house to produce a unique and attention-grabbing single. With infectious melodies and synths throughout, Dapolito grabs your attention and holds it for 6 minutes as we are taken on a journey.
Along with this release, Dapolito has also launched an online shuffle challenge to accompany the track. All shufflers can submit their footwork to the label via the email here: [email protected]. The audio of the video must be ‘Tupanz Symphony No 5’ by Dapolito. Also, all shuffles should include the tag “@tony_productions516” and write “#dapolitoshuffle” in their post. Submissions can be sent until April 29th. The official music video, which will include the shufflers, will be released during the second week of May.
With this momentum and some good positive vibes, Dapolito has decided to release a brand new album, consisting of 12-18 new tracks. This composition is derived from all the music he has worked on over the past year and a half. “It has a little bit of everything… Progressive Tracks, Deep House, House, Future House, Latin, etc” says Dapolito. We can’t wait to hear the full project when it is unveiled next week.
