Electronic Music Award Nominee Kidnap Released Title Track From Forthcoming Album ‘Grow’!

The past few years have been particularly kind to Matt Relton a.k.a. Kidnap, and he isn’t one to let the momentum subside. Following a series of personal and musical developments that included the launch of his ‘Birds That Fly’ imprint (2016), a name change (from Kidnap Kid to Kidnap, 2017) and playing shows across the world as an ambassador for Corona SunSets Sessions (2018), Kidnap is getting fans hot for the release of his upcoming debut album on August 30 with the album’s first single and title track: ‘Grow’ feat. Leo Stannard, released on Armada Electronic Elements.L

Showing some of the beautiful colors one can expect from the album, ‘Grow’ is a blossoming piece of wonder meant to enchant, excite and enthrall listeners every step along the way. Slowly building out the piano tones with gorgeous vocals, evolving melodies and breathtaking harmonies, this single is sure to flourish in today’s music world. Kidnap fans will also be happy to see the return of Leo Stannard, who previously featured on one of Kidnap’s most highly acclaimed tracks to date, ‘Moments’.

Hailing from Sheffield, Kidnap first made waves with his 2012 release ‘Vehl’, which became iTunes’ ‘Best Electronic Track’ of the year. Having carved out a unique and intelligent sound that evokes memories, he is respected and supported across the electronic music scene by influential figures such as Sasha, Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold and Maceo Plex, and scooped up an Electronic Music Award nomination for his and Lane 8’s track ‘Aba’. Kidnap’s open-mindedness and keen ear for innovation is what brought him to where he is today, and this new single shows that he’s confidently striding forward as he continues to grow, evolve and mature as an artist.
