Jean-Pierre Azar (more commonly known as Jaypieezar) is an emerging artist based in Montreal, Quebec. He first launched this project in January of last year and he is committed like never before to make his dreams come true. He started by releasing edits and mashups which received great reviews and then turned to remixes. In June of 2019, he released his first remix, a pulsating big room remix of ‘Bad Guy’ by Billie Eilish. He followed things up with two remixes, one of Lil Nas and Billy Ray Cyrus‘s ‘Old Town Road’ and another of The Chainsmokers and 5 Seconds of Summer‘s ‘Who Do You Love’. In September of 2019, he unveiled his first original track titled ‘Sail Away’ which received great feedback across the board.
2020 kicked off his great fashion for Jaypieezar as he got his first two gigs in a small club where he got the chance to play a 2x 45-minute sets. He then released his first remix of the year, this time he put his own flip to Kellie-Anne‘s track ‘Legacy’. Not preparing to let this momentum phase-out, Jaypieezar treats us to yet another highly energetic free remix, this time turning his attention to ‘Intentions’ by Justin Bieber featuring Quavo.
This high-octane remix takes some elements of the original but Jaypieezar truly turns it into his own. He introduces to the tone of the remix right away with a high tempo and drum loops. He then introduces the original track but then quickly and seamlessly builds towards the first drop. It drops with no disappointment as an infectious synth lead is introduced and combined with an off-beat break that adds power to the remix. Jaypieezar seamlessly heads to the second break which uses more aspects of the original before heading back to the second drop which hits just as good as the first, as he flips the style and uses break beat influences to keep the listener on their toes.
