Released 4 Years Ago: The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey – Closer

Fresh from a very successful calendar year in 2015, releasing hits such as ‘Roses’, ‘Let You Go’, and ‘Split (Only U)’ with Tiesto, The Chainsmokers opened 2016 with their incredible single ‘Don’t Let Me Down’. With this single being a bonafide hit, we weren’t sure if The Chainsmokers could keep up this level of releases, but they took it to an even further level. Up next came ‘Closer’ together with Halsey and the rest is history. Released on the 29th of July 2016, ‘Closer’ took control of radio waves across the world, quickly becoming one of the most-streamed dance tracks in history with over 3 billion streams and counting.

Grammy Award-winning and Billboard chart-topping artist/producer duo, The Chainsmokers, have evolved into a dominating musical force with a diverse repertoire of songs that have led them to become one of music’s hottest recording artists. Comprised of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, their signature sound deftly reaches across indie, progressive and pop realms.
