Released 6 Years Ago: Alesso – Cool

As we entered 2015, the electronic dance music world was gearing up for the release of Alesso’s debut album titled ‘Forever’. Having already delivered sneak peeks of the album with the releases of ‘Heroes’ and ‘Tear The Roof Up’, Alesso kept the momentum rolling with ‘Cool’, released on the 17th of February, 2015. This time the progressive maestro sampled Kylie Minogue‘s ‘Get Outta My Way’ and gave it new life with wonderful vocals and an infectious hook. The single proved to be a massive hit, gaining over 150 million streams online.

Alessandro Lindblad, more commonly known as Alesso, is a DJ and dance music producer from Stockholm. His career quickly gained mainstream recognition for his remixes of TiëstoSwedish House Mafia, and Avicii, as well as his own productions. His first major achievement came in 2011 when his remix of Nadia Ali‘s track ‘Pressure’ was one of the most successful EDM efforts of the year. He then followed up on that success with hit singles ‘Years’, ‘Calling’, ‘Under Control’, ‘If I Lose Myself’ among many others. Recently debuting a fresh blend of electronic and pop music, Alesso has hit new heights with his music along with headline sets at the biggest festivals across the globe.
