Released 9 Years Ago: Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso – Calling (Lose My Mind)

In 2012, Swedish producers Alesso and Sebastian Ingrosso teamed up to deliver a breathtaking single which has still been holding up to this day. Released on the 13th of March, 2012, ‘Calling (Losing My Mind)’ alongside OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder was certified 2x Platinum in Sweden while also reaching #1 on Billboard’s US Hot Dance Club Songs. This track signaled the birth of Alesso‘s meteoric rise to the top of electronic dance music as he followed this single up with many more hits.

Alessandro Lindblad, more commonly known as Alesso, is a DJ and dance music producer from Stockholm. His career quickly gained mainstream recognition for his remixes of TiëstoSwedish House Mafia, and Avicii, as well as his own productions. His first major achievement came in 2011 when his remix of Nadia Ali‘s track ‘Pressure’ was one of the most successful EDM efforts of the year. He then followed up on that success with hit singles ‘Years’‘Calling’‘Under Control’‘If I Lose Myself’ among many others. Recently debuting a fresh blend of electronic and pop music, Alesso has hit new heights with his music along with headline sets at the biggest festivals across the globe.

Sebastian Ingrosso is a Swedish EDM producer and DJ of Italian descent. He has an extensive catalog of original productions as well as remixes for artists ranging from Moby to Justin Timberlake, but he’s perhaps best known for his extensive collaborations with Steve Angello and Axwell. In late 2008, Ingrosso, Axwell, and Angello officially formed dance supergroup Swedish House Mafia, a more pop-centric venture than their previous works before splitting up in 2013. 1 year later, he officially formed Axwell & Ingrosso as a duo, releasing several hits, including Swedish number one ‘Sun Is Shining’.
