Following on from the success of his huge collaboration ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’ with Alesso, Refune founder and label boss Sebastian Ingrosso teamed up with one of Australia’s favorite sons, Tommy Trash, for the very incredibly-received anthem ‘Reload’. Such a pairing between two of dance music’s biggest artists was never going to produce anything other than a classic anthem. Although originally released as an instrumental in 2012, John Martin was drafted in on vocal duty in 2013 to really take this anthem to the next level and the results were mind-blowing.
On ‘Reload’, these three titans joined forces to showcase a dynamic blend of styles, utilizing their ample studio experience to its fullest as they broke new ground. Muscular and melodic all at once, the fusion of these three artists’ talents was fresh, exciting, and nothing short of exceptional. While the galloping drums and pulsing, distorted basslines ensured the energy is kept at a fever pitch throughout, the emotive melody and vocals are able to build to its climax in a wave of soaring synths.
