RIOT Releases Dark, Stylistic Sci-Fi Thriller Concept Debut Album ‘Dogma Resistance’!

Monstercat veterans RIOT introduce their most epic project to date, the storyline-based, immersive sonic journey known as ‘Dogma Resistance’. In the form of a ten-track studio album and accompanying visual comic book by company HERØ, RIOT brings to life the story of Raymond Colt and his descendants in a fusion of past and future. ‘Dogma Resistance’ begins in the year 1936, when Colt and his sidekick accidentally uncover a nefarious force of evil that the world has never seen before. Fast-forward to the year 2045 and this evil, known as Deinos, has been ruling the world for over a century. Follow along as Colt‘s descendants rage a war to fight for all of the humankind against the alien enemy, an adventure that will test them to their very limits and brings them into contact with things of legend, such as the protector of the long-lost city of Atlantis.
Each of RIOT‘s ten tracks evokes a different phase of the plotline, beginning with the adventurous and assaulting ‘Jungle Fury’ and the drum & bass influenced ‘Disorder’, which signifies the rebirth of Deinos. RIOT explores a myriad of sound and genre inspirations on the album, from eastern exotic instrumentals in ‘Desert to Desert’ to fury-filled bass in the climactic ‘Overkill’. A storyline of this complexity is truly an artistic achievement, something that RIOT has been hard at work on for quite some time. Read below to check out what the duo has to say about ‘Dogma Resistance’:
“‘Dogma Resistance’ is an album we have been working on for well over a year and a half now. The production from start to finish was one of the toughest challenges as producers that we have faced. Creating a seamless storyline in electronic music can sometimes be tough, we wanted to give the fans something more, something they would want to listen from start to finish on repeat over and over again. Allowing the fan to create their own vision and storyline for the music, becoming imaginative and creative, which as a musician, is one of the best feelings a fan can give you. Thank you so much to everyone who has followed this journey. It means a lot to us!” – RIOT
Israeli-born, Los Angeles-based duo Tom Davidson and Daniel Magid – better known as RIOT – have built their brand by fusing the extremes of progressive melodies and heavy basslines into a sound that leaves an unforgettable impression. RIOT‘s music has found homes on labels such as Monstercat, Dim Mak, and Insomniac Records, including collaborations with heavyweights SLANDER, Kayzo, and Dirtyphonics. One of their most successful tracks is 2017’s ‘Wake Up’ in collaboration with Kayzo, which has amassed over 23M streams on Spotify and is still currently one of the most-played dubstep tracks on the platform. Their collaboration with SLANDER ‘You Don’t Even Know Me’, which was featured on SLANDER‘s EP ‘The Headbangers Ball’, has over 5M streams on Spotify and rose to the Top 10 on iTunes Dance Charts. RIOT‘s massive remixes for Infected Mushroom, Knife Party, and Pegboard Nerds have placed them at the forefront of the modern bass scene. We predict that the sophisticated, dark sci-fi thriller debut studio album, that is ‘Dogma Resistance’, will make major waves, signaling the beginning of RIOT‘s rise to stardom.

DJ Madam Filth Drops Drum and Bass Track ‘Got That Blow’

DJ Madam Filth Returns With Drum and Bass Track ‘Got That Blow’
Las Vegas-based DJ Madam Filth has released her second track on the Dancefloor Mafia label, titled Got That Blow. Known for her presence in the U.S. drum and bass scene, she brings another fast-paced offering that reflects her commitment to building both her sound and her label’s direction.
The track runs for just under four minutes and wastes no time setting its pace. It opens with a rhythmic pattern that leans into familiar DnB territory like quick tempo, tight percussion, and minimal melodic distractions. There’s a focus on keeping the structure clean and the transitions purposeful. Instead of throwing in multiple breaks or sound detours, the song keeps the listener on a straight course with steady layering and repetition.
There’s a vocal sample running through the main progression, acting as both a hook and a rhythmic anchor. Rather than relying on dramatic builds, the track maintains a linear intensity. That choice gives DJs room to use it mid-set to either maintain drive or transition without losing pace.
More Than Just a Single
Got That Blow is not just another release. For DJ Madam Filth, this marks another step in solidifying her platform. As a resident on Vibe 99.7FM’s Bass Nation and co-founder of the Konkrete Jungle event series, she’s not new to the genre or its surrounding community.
The Dancefloor Mafia label, which she launched independently, serves as a space for her to release her own music and to experiment with tracks built directly for the kind of dancefloors she plays regularly. Her style often leans toward straightforward arrangements that favor flow over theatrics. Got That Blow fits into that catalogue clearly.
For Listeners and DJs Alike
This track isn’t trying to reinvent the genre. It’s meant for settings where speed, precision, and familiarity matter. The production is tight, with all elements serving the rhythm rather than competing for attention. For fans of minimal, high-speed DnB, it’s a track that can slot comfortably into playlists or live sets without dominating them.
DJ Madam Filth continues to approach her releases with intention. Got That Blow may not be overly complex, but it’s well-built for the purpose it serves. If you follow her work—or just want a no-frills DnB addition to your library as it’s worth a listen.#

Pendulum Announce First Album In 15 Years, ‘Inertia’

Rumours have been swirling since Pendulum wiped their socials a couple weeks ago launching fans into a frenzy wondering what this meant. After releasing their new single ‘Save The Cat’ they’ve now revealed that they’ve got a whole new album coming on August 22nd that it will feature on, ‘Inertia.’
Pendulum have been pumping out incredible songs for years, but you have to go back as far as 2010 to find their last album where you’ll discover the amazing ‘Immersion.’ It featured some of their greatest tracks including ‘Watercolour’, ‘Witchcraft’, and ‘The Island’ which put Pendulum on the map. However, with the wiping of their socials and the announcement of ‘Inertia’ it’s looking like they’re heading into a new era with a new sound.
From the tracks that have already been released you can still hear the essence of Pendulum, but they’ve dialled up the volume with a more aggressive sound. They dip into the realms of hardstyle with tracks like ‘Save The Cat’ while in ‘Halo’ and ‘Napalm’ they heavily lean into metal while not losing their drum & bass roots. Their path towards a heavier sound is evident from the collaborations alone with the likes of Bullet For My Valentine, Wargasm, and Scarlxrd all appearing on the album.
The countdown has begun, and the bar has been set high with the songs we’ve got so far. After over 20 years of making music, Pendulum is still kicking hard right at the top of the drum & bass scene and ‘Inertia’ is looking to be another masterpiece from them.

Fox Stevenson And Yue Smash Into 2025 With ‘Pieces’

For years Fox Stevenson has been pumping out fantastic genre-blurring music that has earned him over 100 million streams on Spotify. Now he’s come out with another banger with ‘Pieces’ in collaboration with Drum & Bass producer and vocalist Yue that is yet again a show of his diverse and unique productions.
‘Pieces’ is a tour de force of fantastic sound design that has some absolutely beautiful atmospherics which are a particular treat for the ears and set the more solemn tone in the verses brilliantly. The dichotomy between Fox’s lyrics that recall past struggles, and Yue’s lyrics which describe looking toward a hopeful future create a compelling narrative that leads into the awesome breakbeat in the chorus’. Yue provides some incredible vocals which when layered together with Fox’s during the chorus’ sounds like their voices were made to be blended together.
‘Pieces’ is an excellent addition to Fox Stevenson’s repertoire of Drum & Bass bangers and will be an exciting track of his to hear at his live shows where he integrates live instruments into his performances. He’s on top form at the moment which is looking to continue over the coming year having already dropped another heater with ‘That Choice.’ There’s plenty to look forward to from him.
