5 Of The Best Electronic Albums Ever
Discovery – Daft Punk

You can’t talk about the best electronic albums of all time without including Daft Punk’s undeniable masterpiece ‘Discovery.’ Daft Punk were always great innovators and ‘Discovery’ was no exception as the albums revolutionary disco inspired house sound took the world by storm. It went to number 2 in the UK, French, and Canadian album charts along with going triple platinum in France in 2007 and being widely praised by critics. Despite being released 24 years ago it doesn’t sound dated which is evident from the fact that there’s still music off this album being played at clubs and festivals all the time. Featuring some of the most iconic songs in electronic music such as ‘One More Time’, ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’, and ‘Digital Love’, ‘Discovery’ is a hit machine which rightfully earnt its spot in Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums of All Time at 236.
True – Avicii

Undoubtably one of the greatest debut albums of all time, ‘True’ stands as Avicii’s crowning achievement earning him worldwide love and recognition for his talent. Despite a lot of early criticism following the unveiling of the contents of the album at Ultra Music Festival 2013, pretty soon after people started to realise the genius of ‘True.’ Featuring amazing songs such as ‘Addicted To You’, ‘Hey Brother’, ‘You Make Me’, and of course ‘Wake Me Up’, the album was a massive success reaching number 1 in the album charts in Australia, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, as well as in the Billboard US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. ‘True’ earned worldwide acclaim and contains some of Avicii’s finest work with his unbelievable talent for blending the lines between genres on display.
Fat of the Land – The Prodigy

‘Fat of the Land’ is one of those few albums that just doesn’t have any songs you want to skip as The Prodigy were firing on all cylinders from start to finish. Coming off the back of their stunning ‘Music for the Jilted Generation’ album it was a tall order to try outdo themselves yet they found a way. The album kicks off bombastically with the iconic ‘Smack My B***h Up’ followed by ‘Breathe’ which are a couple of The Prodigy’s biggest songs that hook you in instantly. The punches just keep coming with more great tracks like ‘Diesel Power’ and ‘Mindfields’, but the knockout blow comes with the legendary ‘Firestarter.’ The album was particularly popular in the UK as both ‘Breathe’ and ‘Firestarter’ rocketed to number 1 in the charts. ‘Fat of the Land’ gave us the welcome introduction to Keith Flints vocal power, along with giving us a plethora of timeless classics.
18 Months – Calvin Harris

With Calvin Harris it’s incredibly hard to pick just one album to talk about having made great albums the likes of ‘Ready For The Weekend’, ‘Motion’, and ‘96 Months.’ However, the album that features possibly his best work that has stood the test of time has to be ‘18 Months.’ This album features a lot of the biggest artists in the world at the time with appearances from Rihanna, Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Example, Ellie Goulding, Ne-Yo, Florence Welch, Kelis, and Ayah Marar. This astronomical lineup of artists working side by side with Calvin Harris could equal only one thing, a goliath of an album. Impressively ‘Feel So Close’, ‘We Found Love’, ‘I Need Your Love’, ‘We’ll Be Coming Back’, and ‘Sweet Nothing’ all hit number 1 in the singles charts in various countries. But it’s ‘We Found Love’ that flew the highest reaching number 1 in 24 different countries.
Forever – Alesso

Diversity in style, chart hits, club bangers, iconic anthems. Not many albums can have all these attributes, so the fact Alesso achieved all of this on ‘Forever’ makes it one of the best electronic albums ever. Ranging from the heavier tracks like ‘Tear The Roof Up’ to the more emotional progressive house anthems like ‘If I Lose Myself’, Alesso displayed his amazing diversity in production skills across the album. ‘Forever’ went to number 1 on the Billboard US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart while several of the singles had great success in the UK. In the UK Singles Chart ‘Cool’ reached number 10, ‘If I Lose Myself’ reached number 8, ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ reached number 6, and ‘Under Control’ went all the way to number 1.

Avicii Former Manager Ash Pournouri Sues Family Over Portrayal in True Stories Documentary
Avicii’s former manager Arash “Ash” Pournouri has initiated legal proceedings in Sweden against Avicii AB and several related companies controlled by the artist’s family. The case centers on how Pournouri believes he has been portrayed in the public narrative surrounding Avicii’s life, career, and death.
Pournouri argues that the documentary ‘Avicii: True Stories’ and two books have wrongly presented him as responsible for Bergling’s breakdown and suicide, including claims that he forced the artist to continue touring against his will. He maintains that these portrayals relate to a period after his professional relationship with Avicii had already ended in 2016, two years before Bergling’s death.
According to statements shared by Pournouri, the lawsuit is not about financial compensation but about correcting what he describes as an inaccurate and incomplete public record. He says he has spent years attempting to address these issues privately, out of respect for Bergling and his family, but now sees court proceedings as the only way to establish verified facts through documents, sworn testimony, and an official legal record.
Pournouri has emphasized that he does not ask the public to simply take his word for it. Instead, he says relevant documents, including emails, agreements, and dated records, will be made available so readers can judge the facts for themselves. He has also stated clear boundaries, saying he will not speculate, disclose private medical information, blame fans, or use the situation for personal profit.
The Bergling family has been contacted but has not commented on the lawsuit. As the case moves forward, it is likely to draw renewed attention to how Avicii’s legacy has been framed, and to broader questions around responsibility, transparency, and stewardship of an artist’s public narrative.

Avicii Teases Stories on Stories- Mini-Series Dropping November 6
Avicii’s world is about to open up once again, the late producer’s team has teased Stories on Stories, a new mini-series arriving November 6.
Avicii fans just got hit with something unexpected and honestly, a little emotional. Avicii’s official Instagram account posted a short story of his voice, explaining he had “every session filmed” for his 2015 album, Stories. The next slide? A black screen with the words: “Stories on Stories. A mini Youtube series. November 6.”
If you’ve known and loved Avicii for a while, you know how special Stories is in Avicii’s discography. Released in 2015, it was his second studio album, and the last one he completed during his lifetime. It showed a different side of him, showcasing his talent as a music producer beyond just EDM.
We’ve always known Avicii poured everything into Stories, but now hearing that “every session was filmed” makes this feel huge. There’s a chance we’ll finally get to see the creative process of those songs- not just the music, but the mindset.
It’s been years since Avicii’s passing, but his music still hits us all deeply. We’ve had documentaries like Avicii: True Stories and I’m Tim that dove into his journey and struggles, but this feels different. For longtime fans, this could be a beautiful look back. For newer ones, it’s a chance to experience the Stories era with new eyes and find out what made it such a defining project.
We don’t know much yet, but November 6 is officially circled on the calendar. Until then, keep an eye on Avicii’s official accounts. If the teaser is any indication, there’s a lot more to Stories than we’ve ever seen before.
