Bleu Clair Flexes His Idiosyncratic Style To The Max On His New Two-Track EP ‘Hypnotized’.

Bleu Clair takes the leap to join Insomniac Records with a sublime two-track EP by the name of ‘Hypnotized’. At the start of 2020, the Indonesian sensation cut straight through the noise and made his debut appearance on Insomniac Music Group via a flippant bass house creation called ‘False God’ on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint, eventually leading into the release of his ‘Hustle’ EP months after. The demand for the bubbling artist has since started to balloon exponentially, especially on the back of his collab with Ytram—the exciting alter ego of dance music mainstay Martin Garrix—which has only made his stock all the more sought after.

Now, Bleu Clair is hauling his refreshingly bouncy style over to Insomniac Records with an entrancing two-tracker arriving in the form of his ‘Hypnotized’ EP. The title cut is a low-slung shaker, with its shuffling drums and fuzzy chord swings combining to create the perfect haze meant to keep heads locked in a blissful daze. On the latter half, he links up with fellow countryman Decemberkid on “Looking For,” an elastic groove characterized by perfectly placed metallic clanks, screaky riffs and sporadic rave stabs thrown in for good measure.

“I can finally say that I am releasing one of the tracks that I am the proudest of,” says Bleu Clair. “‘Hypnotized’ is surely one of the most chilled tracks that I have ever produced. It has all the elements of a futuristic sound and style, and I am really happy with the outcome of this one. On the other hand, I’ve teamed up with my good friend Decemberkid to deliver a bouncier track, which I really like as well. I hope music lovers likes this EP of mine.

“Hypnotized” made quite the impression on Chris Lake, who gave the tune his personal stamp of approval during one of his impromptu music listening sessions hosted on his Twitch channel. The support evidently didn’t stop there, though, as many other top-shelf tastemakers took to the radio waves with radio plays being locked on Oliver Heldens’ Heldeep, Afrojack’s Jacked Radio, Dash Berlin’s DailyDash, Bingo Players’ Hysteria Radio, and more. With a trailblazing take on house music that seems to consistently question the status quo, it’s easy to see why so many high-ranking artists in the game continue to champion the idiosyncratic sensation that is Bleu Clair.
