Daft Punk And Fortnite Announce Collaboration
Daft Punk reunites in Fortnite. Discover how to remix their songs and enjoy exclusive experiences in the game this September.
Daft Punk reunite virtually in the Fortnite universe. The iconic French duo will host their own “experience” in the game, where players can explore the group’s music through a series of interactive rooms.
From 27th September, gamers will be able to remix Daft Punk songs in the Dream Chamber Studios, make their own LEGO music video in the “Around The World” hub, or join the Robot Rock Arena to blast enemy robots with a sound-wave laser.
Along with this, one of the most exclusive rooms will be the “Daft Club,” which will highlight supercut footage from the band’s Alive Tour and their Alive 2007 live album.
The Daft Punk members will also be available as skins in the game, giving players the chance to represent their favourite DJs from another galaxy. Songs like “Get Lucky,” instruments and other accessories will be available on the shop for everyone to own a piece of this historic crossover between the gaming world and dance music.
Fortnite has a well-received past when it comes to musical collaborations. In 2019, they had Marshmello host the first ever major in-game concert. Diplo, Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis and Deadmau5 have also been part of the game’s “Party Royale” concept. Sabrina Carpenter, Metallica and Eminem are among the non-EDM artists that have hosted musical events in Fortnite.
Get ready for a new era of concerts and sound experiences in Fortnite with the latest Daft Punk collaboration. Watch the trailer below.
