The Origins of Delta Underground
The project began after both artists settled in Los Angeles and New York. Mike Scala, a Brooklyn-born singer and songwriter, had already made his mark on the global stage. With a career spanning over 30 countries, his sold-out tours saw him sharing the stage and working with artists like Deadmau5 (Mau5trap), Sampa The Great, and OneRepublic. Beyond music, Mike played a pivotal role in the launch of the #TeamWater campaign alongside MrBeast and Mark Rober, helping bring clean water to more than 2 million people in 22 countries with their partner WaterAid — further showing Scala’s commitment to helping change the world.
Meanwhile, Greg Alsop, the talented drummer from Tokyo Police Club, made the bold move from Toronto to Los Angeles after achieving global success with the band. As an award-winning and chart-topping songwriter, Greg’s influence in the music world was undeniable.

Delta Underground introduced themselves with a debut track that outlined their vision.
