Dizzee Rascal announces new album We Want Bass as his ninth studio album with 15 bass heavy tracks

Dizzee Rascal has announced his highly anticipated ninth studio album, We Want Bass, due for release on 4 September via Big Dirtee Records. The 15 track album sees Dizzee channel sounds from across the dance music spectrum, weaving together influences from house, RnB, rap, dubstep, speed garage and bassline. With a focus on dancefloor ready tracks, the bass driven production pays homage to the UK’s ever evolving underground scene while placing Dizzee at his best, delivering rapidfire flow, irreverent lyricism and infectious hooks.

We Want Bass puts Dizzee Rascal back in a bass driven club direction

As the title suggests, We Want Bass is for bass heads everywhere. The album keeps its focus on club ready production, giving Dizzee the space to move through bass heavy sounds while keeping the sharp lyricism and hooks that have carried his career. Among the album’s highlights is latest single All Night, which finds Dizzee lyrically sharp and focused on making people move. Released on 17 June to coincide with England’s opening match of the FIFA World Cup, Dizzee celebrated the single with a live performance at Boxpark Wembley, connecting the release to one of the summer’s biggest sporting moments.

The release follows previous single C U Dance, also taken from the album. Both tracks tap into contemporary club culture while retaining the unmistakable lyrical sharpness and charisma that have long been central to Dizzee’s music. Another standout is opening track Foxtrot Oscar, which starts the record with unapologetic quickfire one liners and a high tempo bassline beat, giving We Want Bass a direct introduction before it continues through the rest of its 15 track run.

Dizzee Rascal continues his UK bass run ahead of We Want Bass tour dates

The album announcement follows a prolific run of recent collaborations with some of the biggest names in drum and bass and bassline, including Bou, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Denon Reed and more. These partnerships underline Dizzee’s versatility and continued influence across the UK’s music scene, especially as he continues to move between rap, grime, bassline, drum and bass and club music without losing the voice that made him one of the country’s most recognizable artists.

This summer sees Dizzee return to stages across the UK, with appearances confirmed at Y Not Festival, Boardmasters and Victorious Festival. He will then take We Want Bass around the world with headline tours across the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. With We Want Bass, Dizzee Rascal brings his rapidfire flow, bass heavy production and club focused writing into a ninth studio album that keeps his place in UK music connected to the sounds still running through its underground scene.

ALANDRIΔ Release New Melodic House Single ‘Explicit’ as the San Diego duo explore progressive house and melodic techno influences throughout their track

San Diego based production duo ALANDRIΔ have released their new melodic house single ‘Explicit’, introducing the project through a song that draws from deep house, progressive house, and melodic techno. Formed by a Latin born vocalist and multi instrumentalist alongside an American Canadian dancer and award winning choreographer, the duo come from different areas of live music and stage work, giving the project a wider creative background from the beginning. Their first release reflects that crossover as ‘Explicit’ moves through a darker house opening before the beat, melody, and build become more prominent, creating a progression that continues to develop as the song moves forward. With this single, ALANDRIΔ make a strong first introduction while establishing their direction within the current melodic house and progressive electronic music scene.

ALANDRIΔ Develop Explicit Through Deep House and Progressive House Production

Opening with a deep house foundation, Explicit introduces a steady beat, restrained percussion, and a darker melodic phrase that continues to guide the arrangement as more elements are added. The production also carries modern melodic techno characteristics through its repeating synth movement and gradual rise in tension, though ALANDRIΔ keep the track rooted in house throughout. That distinction allows the groove to remain central while the melody and percussion grow around it, giving the opening enough space to establish the song before the production begins moving toward its stronger sections.

As the arrangement develops, the progression becomes one of the most effective parts of Explicit. The percussion gains more weight, the melodic elements widen, and each new section adds intensity without pushing the song forward too quickly. A rising synth pattern creates anticipation during the build, while the beat becomes more pronounced at the point where the production needs greater force. By increasing the tension in stages, ALANDRIΔ make the later sections feel more rewarding while maintaining the same deep house and progressive house direction introduced at the beginning.

The San Diego Duo Introduce Their Musical Direction With Explicit

The way Explicit moves through rhythm, melody, and gradual transitions also reflects the different creative backgrounds behind ALANDRIΔ. One half of the duo is a Latin born vocalist and multi instrumentalist with professional experience in live music, while the other is an American Canadian dancer and award winning choreographer whose work includes movement and stage production. Those disciplines appear in the timing of the arrangement, particularly in how each section enters, develops, and leads into the next without interrupting the song’s pace. The production continues to add new details while keeping the central melodic pattern recognisable from beginning to end.

For a first introduction to the San Diego production duo, Explicit shows how ALANDRIΔ approach melodic house without overcrowding the arrangement or relying on one repeated idea. The deep house opening establishes the rhythm, the progressive house elements carry the song forward, and the melodic techno details strengthen the build as the track reaches its fuller sections. Their patience with the progression gives the beat and melody more impact once both begin working together at greater intensity, making Explicit a strong starting point for the duo as they continue developing their catalogue.

With Explicit now introducing ALANDRIΔ to a wider audience, the releases that follow will show how the duo continue developing their work across melodic house, progressive house, and club focused production. Their separate backgrounds in vocals, live music, dance, and stage production give them several practical ways to expand, whether that means placing more attention on songwriting, using vocals more prominently, or writing songs with a stronger focus on movement and pacing. Explicit already shows that they understand how to let a song grow gradually without rushing the build, and that patience could become an important part of their future music. As their catalogue grows, the main point of interest will be how ALANDRIΔ keep these influences connected while giving each release its own identity.

Sacred Acre 2026 Phase II Lineup Announced

A spectacular night scene at Sacred Acre festival in Alaska, with dozens of pink, purple and orange laser beams crossing dramatically overhead above a crowd of silhouetted festivalgoers facing an illuminated main stage with LED screens displaying cartoon characters, surrounded by forest trees and blue atmospheric lighting.

Sacred Acre reveals its Phase II lineup for September 11-13 2026 on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, adding OPIUO, Mr. Bill, INZO, and Tape B B2B Effin to its fifth annual edition.

Sacred Acre, Alaska’s largest immersive electronic music and eco-activism festival, returns September 11–13, 2026, with the release of its second wave of artists for the festival’s fifth annual edition. Following the initial announcement of Tape B (performing two sets), Maddy O’Neal, and Effin, Sacred Acre has confirmed a dynamic Phase II lineup including Tape B B2B Effin, OPIUO, Mr. Bill, INZO, Mindchatter, Josh Teed, Tripp St., Cool Customer, Phyphr, Audio Goblin, Meduso, Mlotik, Dredlok, OkayJake, STVSH, and David Starfire, alongside a diverse wave of rising and regional talent.

Set along the stunning Cook Inlet coastline and nestled within the forests of the Kenai Peninsula, Sacred Acre continues to offer a festival experience unlike any other – blending world-class music, immersive storytelling, and environmental advocacy. The festival remains committed to raising awareness and support to combat factory trawling in Alaska’s waters and preserve the region’s delicate marine ecosystems.

“Every year, we’re not just throwing a party. We’re trying to build something that actually matters,” says Festival Director Chris Miller. “Getting people together in a place like this, surrounded by so much beauty, creates space to celebrate, learn from each other, and hopefully leave a little more inspired to take action.”

The festival continues to expand its offerings in 2026, introducing enhanced travel infrastructure and accessibility tools for attendees making the journey to Alaska. New and returning options include discount flight partnerships, hotel packages, round-trip shuttle bundles from Anchorage, on-site camping and RV accommodations, and VIP experience tiers.

Sacred Acre continues to challenge the perception that traveling to Alaska is out of reach. With bundled options including GA tickets and round-trip shuttle access starting around $300, four-night on-site camping from $139, and average round-trip flights estimated at approximately $350 from most major US cities, attendees can experience the full festival for an estimated total of around $789. Compared to the rising costs of many U.S. festivals—often exceeding $1,200—Sacred Acre offers a uniquely accessible opportunity to explore Alaska without compromising on experience.

Outside of music programming, Sacred Acre’s true passion lies in environmental advocacy – specifically, fighting the devastating impacts of factory trawling. Through immersive experiences, educational workshops, and direct action, Sacred Acre invites every attendee to help protect our oceans and preserve the delicate balance of our ecosystems. Sacred Acre is about creating real change through music, art, and collective engagement.

Alaskan Adventure Packages

Sacred Acre continues to raise the bar on destination experiences with its signature lineup of excursions. Attendees can soar above the Cook Inlet with Alaska Ultimate Safaris on glacier helicopter tours, set sail on the DJ-led “Bumpin’ on the Bay” cruise through Kachemak Bay, dive into Coldwater Alaska’s  sustainable halibut spearfishing experience, or explore the land through guided plant foraging hikes and Kenai River fishing trips.

Wellness & Conscious Programming

The Stillwater Reflection Center returns as the heart of Sacred Acre’s wellness experience, offering over 25 free workshops in yoga, sound healing, ecstatic dance, cacao ceremonies, and more. Complemented by thoughtful talks, art installations, and social hubs like the Tranquilitea Lounge and Tavern, this programming helps guests reconnect with themselves and each other.

Visuals & Immersion

Sacred Acre transforms the Alaskan wilderness with stunning visuals, featuring the state’s largest laser light display and fully immersive stage environments. Hosting national lighting and visual artists such as Glass Crane and Papa Bear. The beloved SeaLegs Stilt Troupe returns with theatrical performances and brand-new characters, weaving a live narrative throughout the weekend that adds an element of fantasy and surprise at every turn.

ARCHES Campground & On-Site Comforts

Located just steps from the main stage, the upgraded ARCHES Campground offers convenient, forest-adjacent lodging for the full weekend. Expanded gear rental options, bundled camping packages, and shuttle access ensure attendees have everything they need for a seamless, comfortable Alaskan adventure.

Tickets & Travel

Tickets for Sacred Acre 2026 are now on sale, with early bird GA, VIP, camping, and shuttle packages available. With support from partners like Delta Airlines, Alaska Airline, Midnight Sun Can Rentals and J&L Hospitality  the festival is also offering discounts on airfare, lodging, RVs, and gear rentals.

Eddy Palermo Announces World-First 50K Run While DJing Live “BPMATHON”

A triathlete running along a red-carpeted race finish corridor at an IRONMAN event in Miami, wearing a Zoot sports tri-suit with blue and red swirl design, reflective sunglasses and a headband, smiling as spectators line the barriers on both sides with HOKA branding visible in the foreground.

Miami DJ and entrepreneur Eddy Palermo announces BPMATHON, a world-first challenge to run 50K while DJing live at The Underline in Miami on August 8th 2026.

Taking place on Saturday 8th August 2026, BPMATHON will see Eddy Palermo attempt to complete a 50K run while performing a continuous live DJ set, combining two of his greatest passions, music and endurance sport, in an event designed to inspire and create meaningful impact.

BPMATHON will take place at The Underline, Miami’s 10-mile linear park and urban trail stretching from Brickell to Dadeland. A landmark public space beneath the Metrorail, The Underline has become a vibrant corridor where millions come to move, live and grow together. To make the challenge possible, Eddy will perform using a custom-built, self-pushed DJ rig on wheels, allowing him to run and DJ live simultaneously throughout the full 50K challenge.

The initiative will raise money for Friends of The Underline, a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming public space into opportunities for healthier, more active living. In a world increasingly shaped by AI, screens and social media, Friends of The Underline’s mission is to encourage people to be active, move their bodies, and decompress from the stresses of modern life through running, biking and walking. The BPMATHON aims to help more people build healthier habits and reconnect with the outdoors through accessible, community-driven movement.

During BPMATHON, Eddy’s event brand ZENSKI will also activate along the course with a live pop-up party experience on the route. Designed to transform sections of the race path into immersive music moments, the activation will bring together runners, spectators, and Miami’s local music community through sound, movement and energy. Founded by Eddy in 2024, ZENSKI has evolved into a Miami-based events platform known for immersive decor, inclusive experiences, and a commitment to female-forward lineups within electronic music culture.

Eddy Palermo Comments:

“BPMATHON is the fusion of endurance running with the magic of music. The idea came about when I saw videos online of people running 5Ks while DJing, and I said to myself, “why not run 50K?”. This is a real challenge for me because just running 50K without DJing is difficult, and just DJing for seven hours without running is difficult. Doing both at the same time will definitely push me to a new limit.”

Estimated to take seven hours, BPMATHON is as much a mental challenge as it is a physical one. Running 50K alone is a major feat. DJing continuously for seven hours requires intense concentration, stamina and energy. Combining both simultaneously creates an entirely new level of endurance.

Born in Miami to Cuban and Italian parents and raised in Weston, Florida, Eddy’s life has long been shaped by music, sports, and passion. From discovering his love of electronic music as a teenager at Ultra Music Festival then later spending hours at Club Space, to building a career in events, sales and entrepreneurship, he has consistently pushed himself beyond conventional limits. Between 2020 and 2025, Eddy completed 14 endurance races, including 7 Ironman competitions and 7 marathons, using endurance sport as a foundation for discipline, resilience and mental strength. Those same values now sit at the heart of BPMATHON.

Eddy Palermo Shares:

“The deeper purpose behind this is that music and running are both huge passions of mine, and there’s nothing more I want to do than make a positive impact on the world through music. If this inspires even just one person to get out there and pursue their passions, or start running, this is a huge success. We’re raising money in support of Friends of The Underline, helping to encourage more people to get outside, be active, and step away from the stresses of modern life through running, biking, walking, and movement.”

At its core, BPMATHON is about proving what can happen when passion meets discipline. It is a challenge built not only around pushing boundaries, but around inspiring others to pursue ambitious goals, prioritise wellbeing, and redefine their perceived limits.

BPMATHON marks the first chapter in a wider global movement uniting music, endurance and wellness, created to inspire communities, promote positive lifestyle choices and encourage people to push beyond their perceived limits, with plans to curate further BPMATHON events globally.

Official Partners for BPMATHON include:

  • ZENSKI
  • AlphaTheta
  • MIAFMTV
  • Orbit Baby
  • StrollRunner
  • Buzz Bomb
  • + more to be announced
