DJ Mag Top 100 2021 Voting Has Opened!
Voting in the world’s biggest DJ poll, DJ Mag‘s Top 100 DJs, is now open. You can cast your votes now at vote.djmag.com.
The voting will be accompanied by the return of the Top 100 DJs Virtual Festival, a ten-week online showcase of the world’s leading DJs from across the planet. The Top 100 DJs Virtual Festival series first launched in 2020, in response to the pandemic and the closure of the global nightlife and event industry. 2020’s showcase was viewed more than 10million times, with all sets raising money for Unicef.
The Top 100 DJs Virtual Festival series, which takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 24th July — 19th September, will be broadcast across DJ Mag’s global YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels. Saturdays will be dedicated to Top 100 DJs, with Sundays celebrating the Alternative Top 100 DJs.
The Alternative Top 100 DJs uses the same vote data as the Top 100 DJs poll, cross-referenced with Beatport sales data and a genre filter. In 2021, the genres included in Alternative Top 100 DJs will be widened to include a number of Beatport’s high-selling genres, including house, techno, drum & bass, and other derivatives that have recently been underrepresented in the main poll. In addition to the DJ Mag channels, selected Alternative Top 100 DJs sets will be broadcast across Beatport’s Twitch and Facebook channels.
Confirmed Saturday DJs include reigning Top 100 DJs champion David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Mariana Bo, Timmy Trumpet, Lokyii, Carta, JVNA Casper Yu, Ummet Ozcan, Nifra, Oliver Heldens, Qrion, Christina Novelli, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Nifra, ATB, Bassjackers, Vini Vici, Vize, Fedde Le Grand, Miss K8, KSHMR, Ayrue, and many more.
Sundays will be soundtracked by artists including Juliet Fox, Claptone, Dennis Ferrer, DJ Spen, Manda Moor, Space 94, Lauren Flax, Justin Cudmore, Paulette, Anfisa Letyago, Delano Smith, Roger Sanchez, Mike Dunn, and many more TBA.
Now in year five of a long-term partnership, Top 100 DJs has raised more than £80,000 for Unicef, the world’s leading children’s organization. With this money, Unicef has been able to provide enough life-saving vaccines to protect more than one million children worldwide.
This year, the fundraising focus shifts to Unicef’s Vaccinaid program. With vaccines rolling out, we’re beginning to win the fight against COVID-19. But we can’t stop at our own borders. When one country is at risk, we’re all at risk. DJ Mag are asking DJs, artists, and fans to play their part in supporting Unicef’s mission to deliver two billion vaccines, as well as millions of treatments around the world this year.
Viewers of the Top 100 DJs Virtual Festival will be invited to donate whatever they can afford during the broadcasts, or enter a charity prize draw, in partnership with Crowdfunder. This will see one lucky donor and their friend win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Amsterdam to meet 2021’s No.1 DJ backstage, directly after they have collected their award.
Following a successful debut in 2020, Top 100 DJs has renewed its partnership with VirtualDJ, to create exclusive content with the leading DJs from the poll. With more than 100 million downloads, VirtualDJ is by far the most used DJ software on the market and has a recognized history of technical innovations that have shaped digital DJing for the past 20 years. This year, VirtualDJ is the talk of the industry for introducing a game-changing technology — real-time stem separation —in their DJ software. This new technology is opening a new frontier for DJing that will deeply impact how DJs can mix in the years to come, and felt like the natural companion, this year, to the world’s leading DJ poll. VirtualDJ will be visible across the voting process and social media results reveal, and DJ Mag will be launching an exclusive 3-Minute Challenge series, where artists will put VirtualDJ’s software, and their own skills, through the paces.
Top 100 DJs is a fully open poll, with no nominations or categories. Voters are simply asked to choose their top five DJs. They can include a DJ with five followers to a DJ with five million followers — but voters are reminded that they only get one vote each year! The 100 DJs with the most votes make the final ranking.
Top 100 DJs was born from the 100th edition of DJ Mag back in 1993 and began as an editorially curated list. In later years it was opened to a postal ballot before going online.
In 2020, more than 1.2 million votes came from 232 different countries, including principalities and islands. As an indication of how truly global the poll is, the figures include 50 votes from Greenland, 52 votes from San Marino, 924 from Syria, and one vote from Vatican City! Europe and the United States pulled in the most votes, closely followed by Latin American countries, specifically Brazil and Mexico, but also Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, and Guatemala, cementing Top 100 DJs position as the world’s biggest publicly voted music poll.

David Guetta & Bebe Rexha – Sad Girls
David Guetta and Bebe Rexha reunite on Sad Girls, marking another release from one of the most commercially successful artist pairings in modern dance music. The collaboration follows previous records including I’m Good (Blue), One In A Million, Family, and David Guetta’s role in Bebe Rexha’s breakthrough hit Hey Mama. Frank Walker releases his sophomore album OASIS through Palm Tree Records, the label founded by Kygo in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment. Across 12 tracks, the album brings together dance-pop production, songwriting-led collaborations, and a wider emotional focus around freedom, love, escape, and self-discovery. The project includes ARTY, Bryce Vine, VAVO, Josh Ross, Norma Jean Martine, TELYKAST, Steerner, Danielle Bradbery, Ryos, Good Humans, salem ilese, and more, with Remember Us featuring Dustin Lynch serving as the focus track. Blanke – SKYFIRE
Blanke continues the rollout toward his debut album with SKYFIRE, a two-track EP released as the second part of his ongoing album series. The project includes Arsenal and Beautiful Tragedy, with the first track pulling from Blanke’s earlier bass sound and the second moving closer to the melodic dance influences that first brought him into electronic music. MAYETRIX – HOLD ME CLOSE 2 U
MAYETRIX makes his bitbird debut with HOLD ME CLOSE 2 U, his first original release after building early traction through SoundCloud remixes and unofficial flips. The Australian producer, also known as Josh Sytema, has developed a sound connected to hypertrap, dubstep, and Y2K-influenced bass music, with one of his flips reaching Coachella 2026 before he had released an original track. HOLD ME CLOSE 2 U moves the project into a more personal space, pairing soft synths with distorted bass while centering on human connection and the difficulty of expressing appreciation for people close to you. Wax Motif returns with Bite Down, a new Insomniac Records single arriving after the release of his sophomore album House of Wax II and his EDC Las Vegas 2026 performance. The track keeps his groove-focused house sound at the center, with darker basslines, vocal work, and club-focused drums tying it back to the style he has built across both underground and crossover releases. The track reunites him with Alina Pash after Tragic, their collaboration from What So Not and Buunshin’s 2025 EP The Quiet That Hurts, but this release pushes their partnership into a larger trap-focused sound tied to his early electronic roots. Ultra Europe 2026 has dropped its Phase 2 lineup, adding more names to its return to Split, Croatia from July 10 to 12, 2026 at Park Mladeži. Now heading into its 12th edition, the festival’s latest announcement brings in Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, DJ Snake, AFROJACK, and Subtronics, joining a Phase 1 lineup that already included Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, FISHER, John Summit, and Amelie Lens. Subtronics Stands Out Among Returning Ultra Europe Regulars
While several Phase 2 additions are familiar names for Ultra Europe, Subtronics still gives the 2026 announcement one of its more interesting talking points. He played Ultra Europe 2024, appearing on the same day as AFROJACK and DJ Snake, so his 2026 booking is not a debut. What makes it worth noting is the context around the booking. Ultra Europe has long been associated with mainstage EDM, house, techno, and its RESISTANCE programming, while large-scale bass bookings have not been as constant in the festival’s Croatia lineup. Bringing Subtronics back after 2024 keeps that part of the lineup visible and gives the July weekend a different pull next to the festival’s more established returning names.
For many of the other additions, Ultra Europe 2026 reads as a return to artists with a longer history in Split. Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, AFROJACK, and DJ Snake have all appeared at past editions, while Adam Beyer, CamelPhat, Jamie Jones, and Oliver Heldens have also been part of previous Ultra Europe lineups in recent years. That matters because Phase 2 is not relying only on newness.
