Hard dance legend The Prophet announces his return to the stage following his emotional Defqon.1 farewell in 2023, with a select number of exclusive shows.

When Dov Elkabas said goodbye at Defqon.1 in 2023, it felt like a proper ending. Thousands of fans watched as he took his final bow on the mainstage after more than 35 years in hard dance, joined by close colleagues and his own children. It was emotional, it was earned, and it felt final.

“I miss performing terribly,” The Prophet says simply. “Being on stage, playing my music, connecting with people, that’s something I truly love. When it’s gone, you realize what you had.”

Now, he’s coming back. The Scantraxx label boss, in collaboration with Independent Agency, The Prophet is announcing a return to the stage with a carefully curated show concept built around exclusivity. No full touring schedule, no comebacks for the sake of comebacks. Just a select number of appearances when the circumstances are right, spanning the full arc of his career: early hardcore and rave, through to the hardstyle anthems that defined a generation, including the iconic Wanna Play.

Ahead of the shows, he’ll be sharing an Australia recap and an upcoming DJ set to give fans a preview of exactly what to expect.

“I’ve missed it a lot, the music, the people, the traveling. That’s why I want to return, but in a way that feels right: a select number of shows, not too many.”
