EDC China Launches New Circuit Dreams Edition
EDC China launches its new Circuit Dreams edition, bringing the one-day event to Guangzhou on November 21 ahead of the festival’s wider return in 2027
Since first launching in Shanghai in 2018, EDC China has brought the wider Electric Daisy Carnival format to several cities across the country. The full festival most recently took place in Suzhou in 2025, before Insomniac introduced Circuit Dreams as a new two-city concept for 2026. The first event took place in Shanghai earlier this month, while Guangzhou will host the second on November 21. Guangzhou New Gateway Music Park will welcome Alan Walker, R3HAB, Chase & Status, Black Tiger Sex Machine, EMORFIK and more.

How Circuit Dreams Expands EDC China in 2026
When Circuit Dreams debuted at Fuxing Island on October 5, it marked EDC China’s first event in Shanghai since 2018. Two stages hosted ILLENIUM, W&W, Dimension, Sara Landry, TroyBoi, Wax Motif, CARTA, 33 Below and Riordan. Across the day, the music ranged from house and UK garage to hard techno, drum and bass and bass music.
That first edition also showed how the format can change between cities without repeating the same lineup. Guangzhou will feature Alan Walker, R3HAB, Chase & Status, Black Tiger Sex Machine, EMORFIK and J. Worra in the leading slots. The November event therefore brings a different mix of artists while remaining part of the same two-city Circuit Dreams concept.
What to Expect From Circuit Dreams in Guangzhou
Beyond those leading names, OCULA, LE TWINS, JETEGG, ELSSS, PEI and SESCO will also perform on November 21. Their inclusion adds melodic house, bass music and other electronic styles to the day, while Chase & Status will appear with a DJ set.
The event will take place at Guangzhou New Gateway Music Park in Baiyun District. The recently developed outdoor venue can accommodate around 30,000 people and hosts large-scale concerts and music events. It will give Circuit Dreams a sizeable outdoor setting for its first edition in Guangzhou while keeping the one-day format introduced in Shanghai.
EDC China’s Wider Return in 2027
The new concept comes eight years after EDC China first launched in Shanghai in 2018. Later editions took place in Guangdong, Zhuhai and Suzhou, gradually extending the festival’s presence across different parts of the country. Its most recent full edition returned to Yang Cheng Lake Resort in Suzhou in March 2025.

That history gives the two Circuit Dreams events a clear place between the last full festival and the return planned for 2027. Shanghai brought EDC back to the city where its China story began, while Guangzhou adds another location to that history this November. Insomniac has not yet revealed full details for next year, leaving the 2027 edition as the next major announcement after Circuit Dreams wraps in Guangzhou.
