Made up of best friends Matthew Gioia & Vish Nagaraj, Flapjax are a DJ and Producer duo based out of New York City. Having made their debut in 2020, Flapjax have quickly grown to become one of the brightest exports to come from America, sharing the stage with artists such as James Hype, Bassjackers, and Borgeous while their own productions have reached over 2 million ears combined. Flapjax specialize in crafting electronic dance music with unbelievably catchy hooks and super energetic vibes and you can hear that instantly when you listen to their music or witness them performing on stage.
Their biggest achievement came in 2021 when the duo would drop ‘La La La’ on Magic Records alongside RYVN and KOSTA, watching it gain over 1 million streams in the process. Determined to follow that success with even more hits, the duo came up with ‘Found You’ and ‘Letting Go’ which have received a combined 1 million streams too. Now with 2021 firmly in the rear view mirror, Flapjax are determined to make 2022 even bigger and that is surely going to be the case with their upcoming single ‘Tom’s Diner’.
Breathing new life into the classic track ‘Tom’s Diner’, Matt and Vish were inspired by the AnnenMayKantereit & Giant Rooks cover of this record and wanted to produce an energetic house version for the summer. They discovered JJFlash on TikTok and knew his voice would fit perfectly on this interpolation. The upbeat bassline pairs perfectly with the lively drums as the instruments complement JJFlash‘s vocals. This new smash drops on June 17th and can be pre-saved here.
