UK Afrobeats artist Great Adamz and Romanian DJ and producer Manuel Riva have teamed up on ‘Umada,’ a new single that reflects their musical backgrounds in one sound.

Drawing from both Afro House and European melodic dance music, the production focuses on deep grooves and cinematic melodic builds, seamlessly blending Riva’s club soundscapes with Adamz’s expressive vocal delivery.

Reflecting on their crossover, the Romanian DJ and producer says: “collaborating with Great Adamz felt organic—his voice became part of the track’s identity from the very first take.”

Meet the Minds Behind ‘Umada’

Not only does the song connect two creative minds, but it also arrives at a key moment in Adamz’s career as he currently sits at No.1 on Music Week’s Black Music Chart. His single ‘Jeje’ became a worldwide hit, but also his second most streamed song on Spotify.

Adding to this experience, the Afrobeat star made waves in the UK music scene with his signature sound and earned accolades such as the Golden Star Artist of the Year (Diaspora) and the DAC Special Recognition Award in Music.

Speaking about ‘Umada’ and his work with Manuel Riva, Adamz says: “The song is very centric and spiritual, filled with melodies and grooving beats. You will dance to it, laugh with your friends to it, road trip to it, and it will become part of your life routine.”

While for him ‘Umada’ is a new opportunity to make noise, for Manuel Riva the song is a fresh addition to a discography that gathered millions of streams throughout the years.

The Romanian artist launched his project in 2015 and has since reached Billboard’s Top 20 Dance Club Chart, received support from DJs like Tiesto and Oliver Heldens, but also played major stages around the world such as Untold Festival. In 2018, Riva collaborated with Alexandra Stan creating ‘Miami,’ a song known as the anthem of Neversea Festival and one that broke into the Billboard Dance Club Top 10.

Now uniting forces with Great Adamz, the two artists are ready to top charts as ‘Umada’ is announcing itself to become one of 2026’s certified hits. The unique mix that the two artists have created can easily captivate listeners, attracting audiences from two distinct musical sides.
