New EDM Friday August 14 brings together new singles, collaborations, EP releases, and crossover records covering bass music, melodic techno, trance, trap, house, and dance. From MPH and Skrillex with Mirage to Anyma and Volkoder with Other Dimension, Armin van Buuren and DIØN with Burn It Up, What So Not with I SAW A TRAP DJ AND IT CHANGED MY BIO CHEMISTRY, and Tape B with Zaytoven on Signature Sound, these are the tracks you should not miss on this week’s New EDM Friday.
MPH & Skrillex – Mirage
After being teased by MPH at EDC Las Vegas in May, Mirage now gets its official release with Skrillex through DisOrder and Capitol Records. The track brings together MPH’s place in the new wave of UK Garage with Skrillex’s long history of pushing electronic music into different directions, while also sampling Red Rat’s early 2000s Jamaican dancefloor classic ShellyAnn. The collaboration was made in one afternoon, with MPH explaining that he and Skrillex passed the laptop back and forth until their sounds came together. After a summer that included Parklife, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands, plus upcoming dates at CRSSD Festival, EDC Orlando, Seismic Dance Event, and headline shows across Europe and North America, MPH comes into Mirage at one of the biggest points in his career so far. With its UK Garage base, Jamaican sample, and long-awaited Skrillex connection, Mirage opens New EDM Friday August 14 with one of the week’s biggest releases.
Anyma & Volkoder – Other Dimension
Other Dimension brings Anyma and Volkoder together during the next phase of Anyma’s visual and melodic techno world. The track had already been circulating online as an unreleased ID before appearing on release lists, with earlier setlist references also pointing to the collaboration under the title Another Dimension. For Anyma, it continues the move from Genesys into the new ÆDEN chapter, which has become the focus of his 2026 shows. Volkoder adds a Brazilian producer presence to the release, with a background connected to house, techno, and club records. With the track now tied to Anyma’s current visual world and Volkoder stepping into that space, Other Dimension gives New EDM Friday August 14 a melodic techno entry alongside the heavier and bass-focused records on the list.
Armin van Buuren & DIØN ft. Scrufizzer – Burn It Up
After first being premiered during Armin van Buuren’s Amsterdam Dance Event 2025 show, Burn It Up now gets its full release with DIØN and Scrufizzer through Armada Music. The track later appeared in Armin van Buuren’s Tomorrowland 2026 set, giving it a clear live history before release day. Burn It Up connects DIØN’s harder production style with Armin van Buuren’s long-running place in electronic music, while Scrufizzer adds a grime vocal that gives the record a sharper edge. The single also includes an extended mix, which fits the way the track had already been moving through live sets. With DIØN coming off releases such as Come Alive, Taka Tribe, and Pulsation, Burn It Up brings a harder techno and hard dance entry into New EDM Friday August 14.
What So Not – I SAW A TRAP DJ AND IT CHANGED MY BIO CHEMISTRY
What So Not’s new EP I SAW A TRAP DJ AND IT CHANGED MY BIO CHEMISTRY looks back at the early trap, beats, and future bass culture that helped shape his sound, while placing those ideas in his current creative world. The project follows the singles EVEREST with Alina Pash, MONA LISA with Mr. Carmack and Benni Ola, and Candy Flipping with Jack Blom, NERVE, and Alina Pash. Across six tracks, the EP brings in Alina Pash, Mr. Carmack, Jack Blom, Elohim, Christian Patey, Losco, Michael Christmas, and Caliph, moving between cinematic songwriting, bass experimentation, and the kind of collaborative energy tied to that earlier internet-era electronic scene. The project also connects to What So Not’s North American tour under the same title, a smaller-room run focused on community and direct connection with his audience. With the EP revisiting the sound that first changed his path without simply repeating the past, What So Not adds one of the week’s main bass projects to New EDM Friday August 14.
4B – SWITCH
4B returns to Deadbeats with SWITCH, following his June label debut WHAT IS THIS. The single moves further into dubstep while keeping the Jersey Club influence that has been central to 4B’s sound, pairing heavy basslines, hypnotic vocals, and harder drops with the high-energy approach he has carried across his career. The release comes during a busy year for 4B, including headline performances in Los Angeles and Bangkok, along with his residency at Hakkasan Nightclub Las Vegas. His wider catalogue includes the breakout single Pop Dat, the 2018 release Whistle, and remixes of Fetty Wap’s My Way, DJ Snake’s Middle, and J Balvin’s Mi Gente. With support from Tiësto, Skrillex, Diplo, Steve Aoki, RL Grime, and I Hate Models, SWITCH brings 4B’s Jersey Club and bass music sound into New EDM Friday August 14.
Tape B ft. Zaytoven – Signature Sound
Tape B links with Zaytoven on Signature Sound, a collaboration that brings his nostalgic dubstep influence together with one of Atlanta hip-hop’s most recognizable producers. The track was inspired by the famous UKF dubstep tutorial and the 2010–2012 era of dubstep, with Tape B using Zaytoven speaking about the “wub” sound as part of the idea behind the record. Zaytoven’s production history includes work with Gucci Mane, Future, Migos, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, and 21 Savage, making the collaboration a natural extension of Tape B’s long-running connection to hip-hop through edits, flips, and his 2024 Juicy J collaboration Trippy Land. The single has also been part of Tape B’s live sets since his fall 2025 bus tour, where it was used as an intro before becoming a regular favorite in his shows. With Tape B continuing a major run that includes sold-out Summer Program dates with Levity and a nearly sold-out two-night Red Rocks headline later this year, Signature Sound adds a bass and hip-hop crossover to New EDM Friday August 14.
Wax Motif & Spin Off – Naked Girls
Wax Motif and Spin Off team up on Naked Girls, a new bass house single released through Divided Souls. The track follows Wax Motif’s recent House of Wax II album and keeps the focus on the heavier side of his sound, using blaring sirens, hard-hitting basslines, and a playful hook. Spin Off brings his unconventional house approach into the collaboration, with his sound taking influence from the Blog House era. The release also comes ahead of Wax Motif’s upcoming Grand Park headline show in Los Angeles, which is set to be his biggest production so far and will include new visuals, outdoor production, and unreleased music. With Wax Motif continuing to connect house, hip-hop, R&B, and bass house through his own releases and Divided Souls, Naked Girls gives New EDM Friday August 14 another house entry with a rowdier edge.

David Guetta & Hypaton – You and I, Me and You
David Guetta and Hypaton reunite on You and I, Me and You, a new single through Atlantic and Warner Records that had already been tested across David Guetta’s summer shows. The track pairs soaring vocals and euphoric drops with the refrain “Me and you, together whatever we do,” continuing the nostalgic dance direction behind their partnership. It follows their official version of La Bouche’s Be My Lover, which has passed 350 million streams, along with recent 2026 releases involving Bonnie Tyler and RAYE that have also reached tens of millions of streams. After a summer that included UNVRS, Ushuaïa Ibiza, the Monolith tour, Stade de France, and Coachella’s Quasar stage, You and I, Me and You opens New EDM Friday Sep 11 with one of the week’s biggest dance releases.
Armin van Buuren & Pete Tong ft. Poppy Baskcomb – Toca’s Miracle
Armin van Buuren and Pete Tong revisit Toca’s Miracle with Poppy Baskcomb, bringing the classic trance record into this week’s New EDM Friday. The release is listed as Toca’s Miracle (Extended) on Beatport, with Armin van Buuren, Pete Tong, and Poppy Baskcomb credited on the track. The original Toca’s Miracle became one of dance music’s most recognizable early 2000s records, making this version another update of a track that has stayed close to trance and club culture for more than two decades. For Armin van Buuren, the release follows another busy run of trance-focused records, while Pete Tong brings his long-standing connection to dance music history into the collaboration. With Poppy Baskcomb adding the vocal presence, Toca’s Miracle brings a classic name back into New EDM Friday Sep 11 through a new 2026 version.
Kaskade ft. Bobby Harvey & Sam Harper – Satisfy You
Kaskade continues the ORIGIN// rollout with Satisfy You, a new vocal-forward house collaboration with Bobby Harvey and Sam Harper. The track brings modern house and UKG influences into the album’s final pre-release single, with Bobby Harvey adding production and songwriting while Sam Harper carries the vocal. Satisfy You follows recent ORIGIN// singles including Meet Again with Natalie Jane and Layton Giordani, Comes Back Around with BUNT., A Little Bit with Crankdat, Runaway with GLOCKENBACH and Kaitlin Aragon, and Hear Me Now with Wooli and MAXINE. Dillon Francis – Cry Myself to Sleep
Dillon Francis brings a more emotional side into New EDM Friday Sep 11 with Cry Myself to Sleep, a new single through Monstercat and Broke Records. The track pairs a catchy vocal hook with euphoric production, turning heartbreak and late-night melancholy into something closer to his usual dancefloor world. It follows his recent run on Broke Records, including Make You Move, What It Feels Like with Daya, and RIDDEM with Allenora and America Foster. The release also comes ahead of a busy fall schedule, with upcoming stops including Gridlife Laguna Festival, Academy LA, Ember Shores, and DILLSTRADAMUS. With Cry Myself to Sleep, Dillon Francis brings one of this week’s more emotional dance releases into New EDM Friday Sep 11.
Tape B & Effin – I’ll Never Know
Tape B and Effin continue their creative run with I’ll Never Know, a new collaboration released ahead of Tape B’s debut album Ghost In The Static. The single brings together Tape B’s connection to classic dubstep and hip-hop influence with Effin’s use of detailed sampling, emotional songwriting, and nostalgic textures. It follows their 2025 collaboration Ups and Downs from Effin’s Daydreams album, as well as their unofficial remix of Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, which has passed 651K streams on SoundCloud. Tape B described I’ll Never Know as their third collaboration since early 2025 and said the track has been a highlight of his recent tour sets. With Ghost In The Static set for October 2, I’ll Never Know brings Tape B and Effin’s shared bass, hip-hop, and nostalgia-driven sound into New EDM Friday Sep 11.

What started as grassroots, techno-driven warehouse parties has officially exploded into the largest techno festival the city has ever hosted.
Over Labor Day weekend on September 4th & 5th, local organizers Twisted Lines debuted Twisted Festival at Atlanta Utility Works. The result was an unapologetic, high-energy atmosphere that marked a turning point for Atlanta’s underground music scene.
The Atmosphere & Stages: Industrial Architecture Meets Raw Energy
Historic masonry and sprawling ironwork set the tone immediately. Atlanta Utility Works provided an ideal industrial playground for the event. Overall, accommodating three distinct environments designed to give dancers room to move freely throughout the venue.
The Machinery: Enclosed within towering factory walls, this stage delivered the unfiltered, driving industrial grit techno was built upon.
The Ruins: Set inside the open-air foundry framework. This space paired weathered brick structures with precision laser projection as the backdrop.
The Industrial Forest: Tucked away behind the warehouse, this outdoor area combined strobes and organic canopy cover, creating a hypnotic open-air space.
Beyond the architecture, the crowd culture immediately stood out. The dancefloors felt genuinely welcoming, safe, and community-focused, prioritizing mutual respect and a shared love for heavy rhythms over club pretension.
Heavyweight Sound & Relentless Selectors
A proper techno gathering lives and dies by low-end fidelity. Twisted Lines brought in a heavyweight Funktion-One sound system, delivering chest-rattling bass without sacrificing midrange clarity. Acoustic bleed across the three stages was virtually nonexistent, and the audio stayed locked in without a single outage over both nights.
That acoustic power backed a stellar international and domestic roster featuring artists such as Kobosil, Onlynumbers, Ueberrest, EMILIJA, Fenrick, BAUGRUPPE90, and Selective Response. The curation bridged relentless techno, hard grooves, and acid textures. This kept the energy moving from early evening through the late night.
Logistics & Transit
Navigating logistics can make or break an urban event, but access remained straightforward throughout the weekend.
Location & Rideshare: Situated in East Point, the venue sits roughly 10–15 minutes from Atlanta’s International Airport. Rideshare fares generally fluctuated between $5 and $25 depending on departure timing and surge pricing.
Accommodations & Walkability: With multiple hotels located within a 5-minute drive, transit was minimal. The surrounding area also proved easy to navigate on foot, making for a manageable 20- to 30-minute walk (around one mile) to nearby lodging.
On-Site Flow: Bar queues moved quickly, water stations were easily accessible, and entry lines stayed organized even during peak hours.
What’s Ahead for 2027
Twisted Lines took an ambitious step forward with this debut. They turned underground passion into an expansive, community-centered festival format. The organizers have already confirmed that the festival will return next year, with word spreading that the experience could expand across a full three-day weekend. If this first edition proved anything, it’s that Atlanta’s appetite for underground techno is not just thriving–it’s shaping the future of regional electronic music events.

Over 20 years after its original release, DJ Isaac brings back one of hard dance’s most iconic tracks with a fresh Hardstyle edge.
Back in 2003, DJ Isaac dropped an edit and created a white label 12″ record with no name and no real plan for it. On the edit, he sampled a now-iconic Eminem vocal along with a Moby breakdown, and in turn, created one of the biggest hard dance tunes of the 2000.
Now, over 20 years after its original release, DJ Isaac brings it back to life with the release of ‘Nobody Listens To Techno ’26’. The track takes the beloved 2003 original and retools it for today’s festival and club floors with a fresh Hardstyle edge, keeping the rebellious spirit of the original firmly intact while giving it the force and polish of the current sound.
The 2026 rework actually started out in 2024. DJ Isaac brought the record back with a quick new edit, sending it out to a number of artists who had been playing out his recent releases and they all loved it. It received love from the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Timmy Trumpet, Wildstylez, Coone, and Brennan Heart while DJ Isaac himself road tested it on mainstages around the world, including Defqon.1, EPIK in Sydney, Aqua Color Fest in Mexico, EDC Mexico, Beyond Wonderland in the US and Basscon: Wasteland. All of these signs almost forced him to turn it from a quick edit into a full scale release.
The original ‘Nobody Listens To Techno’ earned support from some of the most respected names in electronic music such as Carl Cox, Yves Deruyter, and Kutski, a rare crossover achievement that spoke to the quality of the track. The 2026 version aims to bring that same crossover appeal back into focus for a generation that may be hearing it the first time, while giving OG fans a modern version.
It also fits naturally into where DJ Isaac is as an artist right now. A true pioneer of hard dance music with more than 30 years behind the decks, DJ Isaac has spent his career connecting different eras of the genre without losing the character that made him one of its founding figures. From headlining Electric Daisy Carnival, Qlimax, and Defqon.1 to closing the Defqon.1 2024 mainstage alongside TNT with five minutes’ notice and a completely changed set, he has consistently proven that instinct and authenticity matter more than anything else.
