New EDM Friday returns with new music by Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, Tiesto, and more.
New EDM Friday is back and we are bringing you new music from Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, Tiesto, and more. This week’s roundup is stacked so let’s not waste any time and get right into it.
Steve Aoki x Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike x Timbaland x W&W – Cry Me a River
Dance music titans Steve Aoki and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike team up with Timbaland and W&W to deliver a high-octane, big room reimagining of Justin Timberlake’s Y2K classic ‘Cry Me A River’, out via Smash The House and Dim Mak. Blending nostalgic R&B emotion with unrelenting festival firepower, the track retains its iconic melodic motif and vocal refrain while exploding into cinematic builds and earth-shaking drops, powered by W&W’s big room–meets–techno intensity, 3 Are Legend’s mainstage energy, and Timbaland’s signature production touch. Premiered at Ultra and refined for maximum crowd impact, this colossal, genre-crossing collaboration bridges continents, generations, and styles, transforming a pop anthem into a modern-day rave weapon set to dominate global mainstages.
Tiesto & Clean Bandit – Tell Me Where U Go (Tiësto VIP Mix)
Tiësto gives his own collaboration with Clean Bandit a mainstage-ready overhaul in the ‘Tell Me Where U Go’ VIP Mix, turning the original’s breezy, melodic house vibes into a driving festival anthem. With pulsing basslines, soaring synth leads, and heightened drop energy, the rework amplifies the track’s euphoric core while keeping Grace Chatto’s unmistakable vocals front and center, perfectly crafted for peak-time moments in Tiësto’s sets.
The Chainsmokers x Anna Sofia – Helium
The Chainsmokers team up with rising pop talent Anna Sofia for ‘Helium’, a shimmering blend of emotional lyricism and festival-ready production. Balancing atmospheric synth layers with propulsive beats, the track builds from intimate verses into an anthemic, hands-in-the-air chorus, showcasing both Anna Sofia’s heartfelt delivery and The Chainsmokers’ knack for crafting crossover dance hits with mass appeal.
Sidepiece & Bobby Shmurda – Cash Out (Drive Theory Edit)
Denver breakout electronic artist Drive Theory drops his fresh edit of SIDEPIECE & Bobby Shmurda’s ‘Cash Out’. Injecting the track with propulsive basslines, percussive swing, and club-ready energy, the release comes on the heels of his sold-out headlining debut at Larimer Lounge on August 2, a milestone following his earlier Mission Ballroom opener for Loud Luxury. Leading up to the show, Drive Theory sparked buzz with a creative street campaign, hiding mystery boxes around Denver containing tickets, merch, and QR codes tied to his “pursue what drives you” ethos. With strong local support, a recent HEYZ collab surpassing 500K streams on their remix of Nessa Barrett’s ‘Mustang Baby’, and a growing reputation for experience-driven dance music, Drive Theory is cementing himself as one of Denver’s most exciting rising talents.
MARISOL – gimme some time
Multi-hyphenate DJ, producer, and fashion innovator Eva Gutowski, aka Marisol, unveils her dreamy, self-produced EDM single ‘gimme some time’, a lush journey into escapism set to appear on her forthcoming debut album ‘OUCH’ this fall. Following April’s ‘MONEY’, the 9-track LP blends her fashion and music worlds into a sonic odyssey she calls “A Journey Through Dissonance and Tension,” posing bold questions about chaos and desire. After a year off socials to hone her underground techno sound, Marisol has opened for Fred again…, Martin Garrix, and Skrillex, while collaborating with major fashion houses including Mugler, Diesel, Off-White, and YSL Beauty, cementing her status as an unstoppable creative force.
SIPPY & Deadbeats ft. Marlhy – Ashes
Sydney-born bass powerhouse SIPPY joins forces with Deadbeats record label for ‘Ashes’ ft. Marlhy, the gripping lead single from her forthcoming debut album ‘Scars In Stereo’, out this fall. Blending Marlhy’s emotive vocals with cinematic melodies and bone-rattling basslines, the track marks a bold evolution in SIPPY’s sound and songwriting. Arriving ahead of a soon-to-be-announced national headline tour, ‘Ashes’ also launches a busy festival season with appearances at Gridlife, Friendzy Fest, ÎLESONIQ, Bass Canyon, and Dancefestopia. Known for her high-impact sets and genre-defying production, SIPPY continues to solidify her place as one of bass music’s most compelling rising talents.

The Emotional Side of Dance Music Still Exists — And MC4D’s Debut Album Proves It
Emotional storytelling has always existed in dance music, but few artists are approaching it quite like this right now…
View this post on Instagram
On their debut album COMPASS, MC4D blends folk-inspired songwriting, acoustic instrumentals, and melodic sounds into a project that feels both nostalgic and completely their own. Across the album, the brother duo leans fully into the emotional, Americana-inspired sound they’ve quietly made their signature over the years — and the result feels immersive from start to finish.
For me, there are moments throughout COMPASS that tap into the same emotional space that Avicii’s music makes me feel — the kind of feeling that instantly pulls me back and reminds me why I fell in love with electronic music in the first place.
That feeling comes through most clearly on ‘Hey Son’, which feels like a subtle nod to ‘Hey Brother’ — made even more full-circle by Aloe Blacc’s feature on the track.
The emotional warmth carries throughout the rest of the album too. Tracks like “Still Got Time” and “Lay Your Head” continue leaning into the album’s folk-inspired songwriting and melodic atmosphere, while songs like “Afterlife” (my personal fav) bring some of the album’s biggest emotional highs without losing the grounded, personal feeling that makes the project work so well.
There’s also something incredibly visual about the way COMPASS sounds. A lot of these songs feel like late summer nights, mountain drives, festival sunsets, old memories, and the kind of moments you wish you could stay in a little longer.
More than anything, COMPASS feels like an album made by artists who fully understand their identity. Nothing here feels trend-chasing or manufactured for the sake of fitting into a specific moment in dance music. MC4D knows exactly what kind of emotion they want these songs to carry, and that confidence is what makes the album resonate so deeply from start to finish.
Between its folk-inspired storytelling, emotional warmth, and immersive atmosphere, MC4D has created a debut album that feels both timeless and completely their own. If you’re looking for something that reconnects you with the emotional side of dance music, COMPASS is absolutely worth the listen.
Stay up-to-date with MC4D

Far&High Return to Unheard Music With ‘Coda EP’
Far&High Return to Unheard Music as ‘Coda EP’ adds five new tracks to the label’s catalogue
Unheard Music continues its journey of artistic freedom and underground expression with a new release from founding artists Far&High. The duo return to the label with ‘Coda EP’, a five-track release that brings together Indie Dance, modern House, and subtle Electronica while keeping the focus on club-ready production.
The Far&High Coda EP presents some of the duo’s most refined work to date, with tracks built around driving grooves, textured production, and a sound designed for both intimate club spaces and larger dancefloor settings. Across the release, Far&High balance emotional detail with direct club function, keeping the EP connected to the underground identity behind Unheard Music.
‘Coda EP’ Reflects a Closing Chapter for Far&High
Speaking about the release, Far&High describe ‘Coda EP’ as a personal project connected to a specific creative period:
“This is a deeply personal EP for us. The tracks were written in 2025, with some ideas originating back in 2024. The title is no coincidence; it marks a clear line under this chapter of Far&High. In closing one door, we open many more. This is not an end or a beginning, but a moment in time that deserves attention. This is CODA!”
That context gives Coda EP by Far&High a stronger narrative beyond its tracklist. The release does not present itself as a reset or a final statement, but as a marker within the duo’s wider creative path. It captures where their sound currently stands while leaving space for what comes next.
A Five-Track Release With a Bandcamp-Only Cut
The EP also includes an exclusive Bandcamp-only track titled ‘Repeat It’, giving the release an additional cut available solely through the platform. The decision fits naturally with Unheard Music’s artist-led approach, where distribution, format, and release identity are treated as part of the wider creative process.
For Unheard Music, the release also carries added weight because Far&High are not only returning artists, but part of the label’s foundation. The duo co-founded Unheard Music alongside pizzaaftersex and Mona Chrome in 2025, placing them at the center of the label’s early identity and its focus on freedom over formulas.
Unheard Music Continues Building Beyond Releases
With a creative background spanning over 25 years in electronic music, Far&High continue to work beyond fixed genre boundaries while keeping their production connected to club functionality. On ‘Coda EP’, that approach comes through in the way the release moves between melodic detail, groove-led structure, and the kind of arrangement choices built for DJs.
Beyond recorded output, Unheard Music is also developing events, podcasts, video mixes, and upcoming off-site sessions across global locations including Dubai, London, and New York. These projects support the label’s wider aim of treating music as culture and community, not only as digital content.
With ‘Coda EP’, Far&High return to Unheard Music with a release that connects their own creative transition to the label’s broader direction. The five-track project reinforces the label’s underground focus while giving Far&High a clear point of reflection within their ongoing work.
