On The Pier Announces Line Up In Hastings!
The On The Pier series brings world-class acts from across the bass spectrum to Hastings’s iconic 150-year-old pleasure pier. It reaches out over the English Channel as the waves break below, the beach stretches out either side and the classic seaside town of Hastings acts as a beautiful backdrop. When soaked in summer sun there is no better place to party, and as afternoon turns to evening and that sun begins to set, it makes for a real shivers down your spine musical experience. The stage itself boasts immersive lights and lasers while the sound system is world-class to ensure every kick drum hits like intended.
This event is in partnership with Breakin Science, who have been at the vanguard of the scene for over 20 years with their cutting edge events and superior line-ups. This year after the success of last year’s three all day events, On The Pier is back and bigger than ever with another huge line up to kick off summer 2022. First to be announced is Shy FX, the long time drum & bass innovator and one of the original pioneers of the scene. He plays the world’s biggest festivals and stages and always brings a masterclass both technically and in terms of his on point selections, few do it better and for that reason he remains as relevant as ever right at the forefront of the underground.
He will be joined by Bristol’s 20-year jungle and drum & bass innovator Clipz. Next up, bass music legend Chimpo‘s musical style defies genre boundaries as it traverses grime, drum n bass, dubstep, trap, garage, and more, and there are few DJs as ethnically skilled and well informed as Randall. There will also be a Born On Road Takeover ft Aries, Kelvin 373, Crossy and MC Traffic, and more from Benny L, Natty Lou, and Inter.
Louder and Joy Concerts are behind this vital annual series. Louder is an influential name in the drum & bass world thanks to putting on over 250 events a year at iconic venues like Printworks, O2 Academies, Ministry of Sound, and The Warehouse Project. They host their own Electric City and Electric Woodlands Festivals, run an Ibiza residency at Eden, and are behind On The Beach in Brighton.

Tomorrowland Receives Fireworks Ban for Weekend One of 2026 Edition
Tomorrowland will not be allowed to launch fireworks or other pyrotechnics during its first weekend of the 2026 edition. The decision has been taken and communicated by the mayors of Boom and Rumst, together with Provincial Governor Cathy Berx, on the advice of the fire department.
The decision follows a period of extremely hot weather in Boom and Rumst, which has caused drought conditions around the festival site.
Explaining the ban, mayor of Rumst, Jurgen Callaerts says: “It is too dry in the area. Code orange is in effect until Tuesday.” The dry conditions pose a high risk of wildfires at the festival and there was reportedly little disagreement among the authorities involved in the decision.
“There was actually little discussion during the meeting with the security services, the fire department, and the governor,” mentions Callaerts. “They will not change the decision in the next 48 hours either.”
Tomorrowland disappointed by fireworks ban and lack of consultation
The ban is a significant setback for Tomorrowland’s first weekend, as the festival had already been prohibited from using pyrotechnic equipment away from the stages. Tomorrowland spokesperson, Debby Wilmsen expressed disappointment regarding the decision, saying that fireworks are an important part of the spectacle and difficult to replace with something as magical.
“Drones as an alternative is definitely not an option. We are too close to the airport for that,” Wilmsen says, ruling out an alternative similar to the one used at Tomorrowland Brasil.
Adding to the tension, Tomorrowland’s organisers said there had been no consultation between them and the authorities, finding it disappointing to learn about the decision through the media. Jurgen Callaerts however, denies the allegation, saying the organisation was informed immediately after the final decision.
While the fireworks ban only affects the first weekend of the event as of now, authorities stated that measures for weekend two will also be taken later. They have said these are the only right measures they could take at this moment.
Ultimately, there will be a final meeting with all security services on Thursday morning, the day before Tomorrowland opens its gates to over 200.000 festivalgoers.

Deadlynoiz Drops New Bass House Track ‘No Sleep’
Deadlynoiz continues his steady release schedule this year with the new bass house track ‘No Sleep.’
From the word go Deadlynoiz grabs your attention with ‘No Sleep’ as its powerful driving low end kicks in. Much like his release schedule, this track is relentless as it keeps on pumping from start to finish with a heavy kick and wild synths. Deadlynoiz has a strong background in dubstep which is very apparent in this track from its sound design during the choruses. He manages to bring together several different aggressive lead sounds making each section sound diverse as well as delivering a bass face activating low end.
Deadlynoiz’s knack for creative sound design comes as no surprise as he has an impressive catalogue of dubstep and drum & bass to his name. Since kicking off the year with the monstrous dubstep banger ‘Lucid’ he’s since gone on to garner over 100,000 streams on Spotify. Taking inspiration from the likes of Kompany, MYR, and Teddy Killerz, he has already established a distinctive style which can take many artists years to find. With a remix competition win under his belt and a fast-growing fan base, there’s no doubt that Deadlynoiz is on the up.
‘No Sleep’ is another great addition to Deadlynoiz’s repertoire of hard-hitting tracks. He set out to make a song that people will just want to play loud and ‘No Sleep’ certainly fits the bill for that. With his unbelievable work rate, we’re sure to be hearing more from Deadlynoiz very soon.
