Although he may be a new name on the scene, PHILTR has been making moves ever since he debuted in 2019 with his remix of ‘Requiem For Your Neck’. A 21-year-old german producer who combines house with wave music to create the most groovy, yet futuristic vibes across all of his tunes, PHILTR‘s style is insanely unique and you understand this when you listen to his productions.
Speaking on the new single, PHILTR said: “Me is about me, me is also about you. Me is about being one with yourself, about diving into your own mind and finding out where your inner compass may guide you. Mental health became a topic for me and will probably stay that for a longer period of time, this is just one way of working on it for me.”
‘Me’ is the third release from PHILTR of 2021 and it does not disappoint. Showcasing a dark and moody yet groovy style, ‘Me’ has attention-grabbing echoed female vocals that draw you in and once he has you in, you can’t escape. PHILTR uses powerful yet subtle low ends sounds and lets them take center stage which works tremendously well to create a dark vibe but the rhythmic drums used add great diversity to the single.
