Steve Aoki, NERVO, Blasterjaxx, And More Feature On Deezer’s Beethoven Remixed!
Global music streaming service Deezer continues to celebrate the legacy of Beethoven with a star-studded remix compilation, available now.
‘Beethoven Remixed’, an extensive, 14-track release, gives music fans the chance to hear their favorite electronic artists mash up the concert hall with the dance floor. Each track features innovative, modern-day reimaginings of some of classical music’s most iconic compositions, such as ‘Moonlight Sonata’, the most popular piano piece sampled by our featured DJs. This boundary-pushing and first-of-its-kind release combines the timeless sounds of classical music, with the infectious vibrancy of contemporary electronica, like never before.
Highlights include a remix from EDM behemoth Steve Aoki, who delivers a slick, club-ready take on the iconic ‘Pathétique Sonata’, while losing none of the sophisticated emotion that characterizes the original composition.
“Out of all the compositions that I heard from Beethoven that I was able to remix, I picked “Pathétique” because it spoke to me the most,” Steve Aoki explains. “When I’m in the studio and I’m listening to all the different samples or different ways that I could remix, I heard elements in “Pathétique” that I knew I could start tinkering with. And as I went down that road, it just felt natural.”
Dutch duo Blasterjaxx reworks the similarly cherished ‘Moonlight Sonata’, juxtaposing its understated beauty with a mammoth drop. Aussie twins NERVO opt for a more refined, cinematic reinterpretation of the same composition, while Parisian rave queen Anetha sculpts it into a pounding techno cut.
NERVO added: “We chose the “Moonlight Sonata” because the piano playing is nothing we could ever do. It was such a privilege to be able to work with that, and 132 bpm is great for a dance record and the sample worked well with that! We added the main melody with a cello, which added warmth to the record. We played around with this, we thought we would go harder with a synth sound, but ended coming back to the cello.”
Additionally, New York don GATTÜSO perfectly captures the monumental energy of ‘5th Symphony’ with his rollicking, bass-heavy edit. French wizard WorakIs, already known for combining electronic music with orchestras, keeps things closer to the symphony hall than the club with his bracing rework of ‘Symphony No. 9‘. Belgian favorite The Magician whisks listeners away with his otherworldly remix of ‘Moonlight Sonata’, while Jean-Benoît Dunckel, better known as one half of iconic 90s duo Air, crafts a glistening, piano-led dose of electronica with his abstract take on ‘Symphony No. 7’.
GATTÜSO comments: “I decided to pick this melody because I played saxophone for 12, 13 years as a kid, so I knew classical music and Beethoven amongst the other geniuses. When I had the opportunity to take the melody and bring festival vibes into it it was amazing for me and the result is epic!”
‘Beethoven Remixed’ is part of Deezer’s ‘Originals’ series and is a companion piece to the contemporary classical piano album ‘Beethoven Recomposed’.
“The beauty and drama of classical music makes it a perfect source of inspiration for electronic producers and it’s been thrilling to hear such a broad range of interpretations. Our Beethoven Remixed is the first exclusive playlist bringing together world-class DJs to celebrate Beethoven’s massive legacy. Each track combines a distinctive style with the familiar composition of a classical master,” added Nigel Harding Deezer’s VP of Artist Marketing.

DJ Isaac Revives ‘Nobody Listens To Techno’ With 2026 Version
Over 20 years after its original release, DJ Isaac brings back one of hard dance’s most iconic tracks with a fresh Hardstyle edge.
Back in 2003, DJ Isaac dropped an edit and created a white label 12″ record with no name and no real plan for it. On the edit, he sampled a now-iconic Eminem vocal along with a Moby breakdown, and in turn, created one of the biggest hard dance tunes of the 2000.
Now, over 20 years after its original release, DJ Isaac brings it back to life with the release of ‘Nobody Listens To Techno ’26’. The track takes the beloved 2003 original and retools it for today’s festival and club floors with a fresh Hardstyle edge, keeping the rebellious spirit of the original firmly intact while giving it the force and polish of the current sound.
The 2026 rework actually started out in 2024. DJ Isaac brought the record back with a quick new edit, sending it out to a number of artists who had been playing out his recent releases and they all loved it. It received love from the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Timmy Trumpet, Wildstylez, Coone, and Brennan Heart while DJ Isaac himself road tested it on mainstages around the world, including Defqon.1, EPIK in Sydney, Aqua Color Fest in Mexico, EDC Mexico, Beyond Wonderland in the US and Basscon: Wasteland. All of these signs almost forced him to turn it from a quick edit into a full scale release.
The original ‘Nobody Listens To Techno’ earned support from some of the most respected names in electronic music such as Carl Cox, Yves Deruyter, and Kutski, a rare crossover achievement that spoke to the quality of the track. The 2026 version aims to bring that same crossover appeal back into focus for a generation that may be hearing it the first time, while giving OG fans a modern version.
It also fits naturally into where DJ Isaac is as an artist right now. A true pioneer of hard dance music with more than 30 years behind the decks, DJ Isaac has spent his career connecting different eras of the genre without losing the character that made him one of its founding figures. From headlining Electric Daisy Carnival, Qlimax, and Defqon.1 to closing the Defqon.1 2024 mainstage alongside TNT with five minutes’ notice and a completely changed set, he has consistently proven that instinct and authenticity matter more than anything else.

Keanu Silva, Kickbait & Carpoolboy Reimagine Classic with ‘Rhythm of Life’
Keanu Silva, Kickbait, and Carpoolboy reimagine Corona’s 1993 classic The Rhythm of the Night as a blazing UK Speed House anthem.
Keanu Silva, Kickbait, and Carpoolboy have joined forces for ‘Rhythm of Life’, a high-energy reimagining of Corona‘s legendary 1993 Eurodance classic ‘The Rhythm of the Night’. The track uses the original master vocal stems of the iconic 90s hook and builds around them with fresh original verses and a blazing UK Speed House production running at over 140 BPM, pairing pitch-bent vocal chops and euphoric old-school rave stabs with a driving modern bassline.
The result sits at an interesting crossover point between nostalgia and club currency, keeping the recognisable vocal that made ‘The Rhythm of the Night’ a global hit while wrapping it in a sound that is firmly rooted in what is dominating dancefloors right now. UK Speed House has been one of the more exciting movements in club music over the past couple of years, and ‘Rhythm of Life’ leans into its energy without losing the warmth of the source material.
Keanu Silva brings a track record of millions of streams and strong editorial support to the release, while Kickbait and Carpoolboy contribute the production weight and club-ready instincts that give the track its modern edge.
‘Rhythm of Life’ is out now and primed for peak-time floors.
