Tapetodisk Expands Catalogue Across Vinyl and Digital Releases
Tapetodisk expands its independent catalogue through house, techno, acid and minimal releases across vinyl and digital formats
Independent record label Tapetodisk is developing its music around groove, texture and dancefloor-focused electronic production. Its releases cross house, dub, minimal, acid and techno, with each project chosen to fit the musical identity the label is establishing. Instead of concentrating on one subgenre, Tapetodisk works with artists whose music connects naturally with the rest of its output. This gives the label space to explore different sides of underground electronic music while keeping a consistent thread between projects.
Vinyl and Digital Serve Different Purposes
Physical releases play an important role in how Tapetodisk presents its music, giving listeners something collectable beyond the digital version. Digital releases, meanwhile, allow the label to introduce more artists and add new music without relying only on vinyl production.
Working across both formats gives Tapetodisk more flexibility in how it develops its discography. Vinyl strengthens the physical side of the label, while digital distribution gives new projects a wider route to listeners and allows the music to expand beyond physical releases alone.
Out of Pashe Adds Six Tracks to Tapetodisk
One of the latest projects is Out of Pashe, a six-track 12-inch release from label head Antony Logan and Nicola Brusegan. The EP crosses house, techno and acid house, bringing several of the styles associated with Tapetodisk together on one record.
Across the release, Antony Logan and Nicola Brusegan keep the emphasis on groove and club-focused production while exploring different parts of that sound. The record also gives the label’s vinyl output a direct example of how its house, techno and acid influences can exist within the same project.
Tapetodisk Plans More Vinyl and Digital Music
Future projects will continue across both vinyl and digital formats as Tapetodisk works with artists who share its interest in groove, individuality and considered production. The label is also looking beyond short-term trends, with its focus remaining on music that fits naturally within the underground electronic styles already running through its discography.
That gives Tapetodisk room to introduce new artists and styles without limiting itself to one area of house or techno. With further releases planned, the label’s next steps will continue through both physical records and digital music.
