Topic Joins Forces With Bebe Rexha For Brand New Single ‘Chain My Heart’!
Multi-platinum selling German/Croatian DJ and producer Topic has teamed up with Grammy-nominated US artist Bebe Rexha for their brand new collaboration ‘Chain My Heart’.
Another hit-in-waiting for Topic, ‘Chain My Heart’ flaunts the producer’s “melancholic dance music” style, underpinning Bebe’s vocal prowess. When speaking about the storyline of the track, co-collaborator Bebe explains, “’Chain My Heart’ is about finding somebody that truly captivates your heart, and not wanting to let them go. I had a great time working together with Topic, he is very talented and I am so excited for everyone to hear this song!”
About choosing Bebe Rexha to collaborate with, Topic says: “When creating ‘Chain My Heart’, we noticed relatively early on that the song needed a strong woman, who could convey a certain edginess with her voice. With some melodies, you directly imagine the person you want on the track in the process. Bebe Rexha was the one who struck our minds instantly. Vocally, she has exactly the attitude that the song needs. You can hear that especially in the pre-chorus.”
‘Chain My Heart’ follows on from what has been a career-defining year for Topic. Having already surpassed a billion combined streams worldwide and peaked at #3 in the UK Official Charts with his platinum-selling hit ‘Breaking Me’ (with A7S), the German/Croatian producer went on to collaborate with Grammy-nominated US rapper Lil Baby on ‘Why Do You Lie To Me’ and renowned German DJ ATB on ‘Your Love (9pm)’. The latter single, which peaked in the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, is the first-ever official remake with the trance legend’s involvement and was certified gold. Additionally, the ‘Breaking Me’ hitmaker has topped various radio, iTunes and Shazam charts worldwide, and has been awarded certifications in 28 countries, including platinum status in the UK, as well as receiving championing radio support from Capital FM, Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1.
New York native Bebe Rexha propelled herself into the spotlight with her platinum-certified debut album ‘Expectations’ in 2018, containing her smash hit ‘I’m a Mess’ and the diamond-certified single ‘Meant to Be’ featuring Florida Georgia Line, which remained on top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs for a record-setting 50 consecutive weeks, making it the longest reign ever by a female lead artist. Not stopping there, Bebe has received two Grammy nominations (“Best Country Duo/Group Performance” and “Best New Artist”) to date, has surpassed 4 billion YouTube views and more than 12 billion total global streams, and counting.
New single ‘Chain My Heart’ blends Topic’s effortless production skills and talent with Bebe’s strong vocal ability. It’s a pairing that sees two multi-platinum selling artists unite their ultra-distinctive sounds, thus creating the ultimate winning formula for what is sure to be a hot summer hit single.

BETH Turns Up the Energy With New Single ‘Wait’
Scottish producer BETH returns on The Cross Records with new single Wait, following a breakout 2026 of festival slots, Ibiza dates and Radio 1 support.
In the space of a year, BETH has gone from respected up and comer to a genuine festival act. Her debut on The Cross Records, “Keep It Movin’,” is closing in on 1 million streams, and she’s kept up a steady run of releases on labels like TSHA’s Jackfruit, Eats Everything’s Edible, and Melon Bomb Records, along with a well received remix of Karen Harding’s “Island.” That output has earned her support on BBC Radio 1, with plays from Sarah Story and Arielle Free.
Her live schedule has kept pace too. This year she’s played TRNSMT Festival, Sub Club, Cabaret Voltaire, and SWG3 in Scotland, Mas Que Nada in London, and Lakota in Bristol, plus Ibiza dates at Hï, Cova Santa, and Pikes.

“Wait” marks a step forward in her production. Where “Keep It Movin'” leaned into sultry, harmonic melodies, “Wait” goes bigger and brighter, built around euphoric piano chords, a driving 90s inspired break, and deep reese bass. It’s a feel good summer record from an artist whose rise shows no signs of slowing down.

Scarper Drops ‘Off-Cuts (2014-2021)’ Compilation
Scarper releases ‘Off-Cuts (2014-2021)’, a collection of eight unreleased tracks from the era behind his debut album ‘Warmer Squares’ and ‘E-Funk’.
UK artist Scarper has released ‘Off-Cuts (2014-2021)’, a hand-picked collection of eight previously unreleased tracks pulled from the same period that produced his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Warmer Squares’ and his 2020 dancefloor tune ‘E-Funk’, which has been experiencing a resurgence thanks to a recent physical release on a new imprint.
The project is exactly what it sounds like, Scarper going back through his studio archives and finding the demos, jams, and ideas from that era that were good enough to polish up and put out. “I realised I had quite a few demos, jams and ideas on my laptop from that period, some of which were decent enough to polish up and get out into the world,” he said. “It’s a snapshot of where I was musically at the time, so I thought I’d package them together as a retrospective rather than a proper release, giving people something to enjoy while I crack on with the next project.”
The eight tracks cover a lot of ground, from the epic opening chords of ‘Skynet’ to the acid squelches of ‘Steppe’ and the string arrangements of ‘Halocline’. It is the kind of release that rewards the people who have been paying attention, and sits comfortably alongside some of his best work.
Scarper has built his career almost entirely on his own terms, releasing through his own imprint Plexus Records and picking up support from Orbital, Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Rinse FM, BBC 6 Music, Mixmag, and DJ Mag along the way.
‘Off-Cuts (2014–2021)’ is out now on Plexus Records.
