Wave Wave Presents Bittersweet House-Inspired Pop Song ‘Coming Down’ ft. Marigo Bay!

German house music specialist Wave Wave delivers his phenomenal new single ‘Coming Down’ on a burst of beautiful, melancholic vibes. Featuring the inspired vocals of Marigo Bay, the record brings tender piano chords and tasty electronic rhythms, blending the producer’s trademark deep house sound with unforgettable pop hooks. A compelling tune to keep close to yourself, out now on Robin Schulz’ label Mentalo Music.

Based in Hamburg, Germany, up-and-coming artist Wave Wave has experienced a true triumphal path these last four years. Building a reputation since 2017 with strong melodic songs, his music is beyond all boundaries when it comes down to style, it usually moves between electronic music and dance-pop with acoustic elements and a scent of warmth.

While releasing several hit records in the years that followed, including his biggest tune to date, 2019’s ‘Into The Sea’, his claim to fame reached the next milestone in 2020, when he released the widely supported single ‘Mind On Overdrive’ on Spinnin’ Records. In the meantime, Wave Wave had caught the attention of fellow German tastemaker Robin Schulz, who added him to his Mentalo Music roster. The pop-styled single ‘Broke’ was released on the label, as well as a popular remix of Winona Oak & Robin Schulz song ‘Oxygen’.

And now, Wave Wave is ready to overwhelm his audience again. 2021 has already proven itself a fruitful year with the uplifting Mentalo release ‘Missing U’ (feat. EMIAH), he now returns to Mentalo Music with the melancholic sounds of ‘Coming Down’.

The song opens with characteristic warm piano chords backing the sultry vocals of Belgian-American singer Marigo Bay. She paints a beautiful picture with her lyrically inspired efforts, very melodically building towards the chorus. When the record drops, the beats kick in, enhanced by sweet electronic pinches, immediately giving the track a powerful boost of dance energy.

It’s this balance between catchy house grooves and the elements of a bittersweet pop song that works wonders. As the piano chords turn more dramatic and Marigo Bay opens her emotions even further, the result is a sensitive, soul-inspired, but very compelling dance record. Wave Wave clearly expresses his feelings with this carefully produced song, taken even higher on the wings of Marigo Bay, to finally leave you breathless when you feel ‘Coming Down’.

“When I started producing the idea for ‘Coming Down’ I wanted to create a vibe that is on the same way melancholic and also euphoric with a lot of power. I love these kind of moods in my tracks. So I laid down the piano progression and hummed a melody that directly popped up in my head that ended up being the signature for the track. After adding a few more elements I sent a first draft to Marigo Bay from Belgium. She’s an amazing singer and she translated exactly the idea that I had in my mind with her voice. She’s singing about a good thing with a sad and melancholic touch – exactly what I thought when I recorded the piano. After a few back and forths we had the demo ready that I sent to Robin Schulz and his team – they loved it immediately!” – Wave Wave

Scottish producer BETH returns on The Cross Records with new single Wait, following a breakout 2026 of festival slots, Ibiza dates and Radio 1 support.

In the space of a year, BETH has gone from respected up and comer to a genuine festival act. Her debut on The Cross Records, “Keep It Movin’,” is closing in on 1 million streams, and she’s kept up a steady run of releases on labels like TSHA’s Jackfruit, Eats Everything’s Edible, and Melon Bomb Records, along with a well received remix of Karen Harding’s “Island.” That output has earned her support on BBC Radio 1, with plays from Sarah Story and Arielle Free.

Her live schedule has kept pace too. This year she’s played TRNSMT Festival, Sub Club, Cabaret Voltaire, and SWG3 in Scotland, Mas Que Nada in London, and Lakota in Bristol, plus Ibiza dates at Hï, Cova Santa, and Pikes.

“Wait” marks a step forward in her production. Where “Keep It Movin'” leaned into sultry, harmonic melodies, “Wait” goes bigger and brighter, built around euphoric piano chords, a driving 90s inspired break, and deep reese bass. It’s a feel good summer record from an artist whose rise shows no signs of slowing down.

Scarper Drops ‘Off-Cuts (2014-2021)’ Compilation

Scarper releases ‘Off-Cuts (2014-2021)’, a collection of eight unreleased tracks from the era behind his debut album ‘Warmer Squares’ and ‘E-Funk’.

UK artist Scarper has released ‘Off-Cuts (2014-2021)’, a hand-picked collection of eight previously unreleased tracks pulled from the same period that produced his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Warmer Squares’ and his 2020 dancefloor tune ‘E-Funk’, which has been experiencing a resurgence thanks to a recent physical release on a new imprint.

The project is exactly what it sounds like, Scarper going back through his studio archives and finding the demos, jams, and ideas from that era that were good enough to polish up and put out. “I realised I had quite a few demos, jams and ideas on my laptop from that period, some of which were decent enough to polish up and get out into the world,” he said. “It’s a snapshot of where I was musically at the time, so I thought I’d package them together as a retrospective rather than a proper release, giving people something to enjoy while I crack on with the next project.”

The eight tracks cover a lot of ground, from the epic opening chords of ‘Skynet’ to the acid squelches of ‘Steppe’ and the string arrangements of ‘Halocline’. It is the kind of release that rewards the people who have been paying attention, and sits comfortably alongside some of his best work.

Scarper has built his career almost entirely on his own terms, releasing through his own imprint Plexus Records and picking up support from Orbital, Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Rinse FM, BBC 6 Music, Mixmag, and DJ Mag along the way.

‘Off-Cuts (2014–2021)’ is out now on Plexus Records.
