Yellow Claw Blood For Mercy 10-year anniversary

Yellow Claw celebrate 10 years of Blood For Mercy album with a remastered edition on Mad Decent along with remixes.

Marking a decade since they helped ignite a global movement, Yellow Claw celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album “Blood For Mercy” with a fully remastered edition, out October 17 on Diplo‘s label Mad Decent. Originally released in 2015 during the first great wave of trap, the body of work captured the raw energy of an era with timeless anthems like “In My Room” featuring Ty Dolla $ign & Tyga, “Catch Me” with Flux Pavilion, “Lifetime” with Tiësto and Kyler England and “Nightmare” featuring Pusha T and Barrington Levy. Born from Soundcloud uploads and inspired by trailblazers like SkrillexRL GrimeDiplo, and Flosstradamus, “Blood For Mercy” was Yellow Claw‘s bold statement that they were more than producers chasing trends, they were architects of a new sound. In a time when big-room house ruled, they followed their instincts, crafting something risky, loud, and unapologetically their own. Now, as trap surges back into the spotlight with a new generation of artists, these remastered tracks hit harder than ever, which is a testament to a legacy that started underground and reshaped the global bass scene.

Many of the songs on ‘Blood For Mercy’ are a testament to the time we came up when the trap genre was first making waves and inspired us greatly. It was first done in the US, and from that moment on, it was our goal to go there. It all started when we saw the DJs there play our songs. Not long after, we got booked to play shows ourselves. That was just off of our Soundcloud stuff. When we got our break, we focused on doing a full album to show people we were more than just Soundcloud producers and be able to make a full body of work. It’s good to note that at this time, the only thing you heard in clubs and festivals was big room house. That’s what it was all about. People at labels even told us: “why don’t you make big room? It’s much easier to get big.” But we followed our hearts instead and did what we thought was fucking cool. And yes, that was very, very new and insecure, but it was more exciting than following the herd. Now it’s been almost 10 years, and around the time its anniversary comes up, the genre is making a huge comeback. Young trap artists are emerging and getting big. We did 6 huge b2b shows with Flosstradamus, paying homage to the genre back in 2024, plus we are gearing up for a full trap North America tour in March 2026.” – Yellow Claw

David Ramano, the London-born Dubai-based electronic artist, photographed in a dramatic studio portrait wearing a white t-shirt, his face covered by one hand against a deep dark background with directional lighting illuminating one side of his head and neck.

David Ramano releases the Time Loop EP via his Omkara imprint, a three-track Afro and Melodic House journey rooted in rhythm, emotion, and reflection.

David Ramano, the London-born and now Dubai-based electronic artist and producer, continues his run of new music this year, with the release of the ‘Time Loop EP’ via his Omkara imprint. The three-track EP showcases a deeper and more conceptual step in his exploration of Afro and Melodic House, citing a new chapter in his personal evolution as an artist.

The ‘Time Loop’ EP is a reflection on the patterns that we move through and the moments we repeat, while pointing toward the awareness that allows us to move beyond them. Across each of the tracks, the EP unfolds as a journey that moves from rhythm and repetition into introspection and resolution.

The opening track, ‘Time Loop’, is a deep and hypnotic instrumental built for the dancefloor, driven by rolling Afro House percussion and evolving textures, focusing on presence over progression. The EP then shifts towards ‘Lost In The Waves’, a vocal-led piece that introduces a more emotive dimension, exploring surrender, trust, and the experience of letting go into the unknown. Closing the EP, ‘Never Look Back’ brings a feeling of clarity and forward motion, with a vocal that conveys quiet strength and release, capturing the decision to move on without attachment to the past.

The ‘Time Loop EP’ notes one of David’s most prolific runs of studio output to date, with a catalogue of music released on and forthcoming across labels including Enormous Tunes, Where The Heart Is, Vamos Music, Vamos Music Talents, Ostowana, Xpressed Records, Open Bar Music, and his own imprint, Omkara. This stream of releases reflects his ever-growing presence across the global Afro and Melodic House scene and his commitment to rhythm-driven electronic music rooted in emotion and cultural influence. His music continues to reach audiences worldwide, with new tour dates forthcoming, including a performance in Miami.

Raised in London’s diverse musical landscape, David’s sound is shaped by soulful harmonies, emotional storytelling, and the influence of underground dance culture. From the 1990s pirate radio scene to performances across the UK, Spain, Sweden, and Canada, his journey has been defined by authenticity and movement. As one half of the Deepologists, he developed an immersive approach to music that connects the physical and emotional sides of the dancefloor.

David’s work continues to receive strong support from international tastemakers, including Damian Lazarus, Themba, CamelPhat, Shimza, Artbat, Cosmic Gate, and Don Diablo. His track ‘Fall’ remains one of his most-streamed releases, combining Afro percussive energy with emotive melodies and surpassing 380,000 streams while featuring on key Spotify Afro House playlists. Across platforms, his catalogue has now exceeded 850,000 streams, with music reaching clubs, festivals, and radio shows worldwide.

Founded as a creative platform for forward-thinking Afro and Melodic House, Omkara serves as the home for David Ramano’s own releases. The label’s vision is centred on innovation, emotional depth, and rhythm-driven soundscapes that bridge tradition and modernity, drawing influence from African, Latin, and Eastern musical heritage.

With the ‘Time Loop EP’, David Ramano moves deeper into his artistic vision, delivering a body of work rooted in rhythm and emotion while already gaining early support from respected names including Damian Lazarus and Themba, signalling its impact across the global Afro and Melodic House community.

Greek producer One of Vas is making a statement with his first release of the year being his stunning debut album ‘MIGMA.’

Right from the off One of Vas, real name Vasilis Tsavdaridis, sets out the tone for the album with the intro track ‘Get Warm.’ The atmosphere is akin to an 80s sci-fi movie with dystopian drones filling out the soundscape. The overall tone for ‘MIGMA’ makes you feel like you’re floating through space while surrounded by swirling synths. Something that stands out is One of Vas’ use of stereo space with all the beautifully crafted sounds gliding through the soundscape of ‘MIGMA.’ A particular standout track is ‘Blooming’ which features some fantastically delivered vocals that sit in the mix excellently. ‘MIGMA’ is not an album you just listen to, it’s an album you experience. It doesn’t feel tied down by genres. Each track explores new realms with a variety of beats, tempos, and instrumentation which keeps the album feeling fresh. The Greek producer has made his level of creativity unquestionable.

Vasilis Tsavdaridis has been on the music scene for a long time having started releasing music in 2009 with his band Dropeners. It was in 2019 that he launched his solo project, One of Vas, with which he’s found great success. His catalogue of music has drawn in hundreds of thousands of streams with his latest single ‘Low Key’ already cracking the 40,000-stream mark on Spotify. His talents have earnt him releases on Lee Burridge’s label, All Day I Dream, as well as ‘MIGMA’ being released with Sony Music Greece.

One of Vas has proven his capabilities as a producer time and time again. Now he can add the arrow of being able to make an astonishing album to his quiver.
