More than musical partners: Dubdogz and Bhaskar established great friendship along the trajectory in the electronic scene, and are successful in their careers, when they join the projects they present an even greater noise. The two Brazilian stars of electronic music are betting on a new collaboration to break paradigms. With the participation of Calmani & Gray, “100 Degrees” comes to increase the temperature and bring a sound that will make you dance. CONTROVERSIA, thethat signs the music, chose the track to be one of the highlights of their first compilation, entitled CONTROVERSIA by Alok Vol. 001, gathering new tracks and hits already released by the label.
After the success of “Free My Mind”, which hit more than 30 million plays on Spotify, Dubdogz presents his second song through CONTROVERSIA. “We received the first idea directly from the record company, we liked it a lot and started working on it. We sent Bhaskar a look without compromise, and he returned with some changes and suggestions. We realized that the suggestions made a lot of sense and we decided to invite him to join the music and join forces. He agreed at the time and we continued with the production”, says Lucas from Dubdogz.
Bhaskar, on the other hand, explains how the mix of sounds present in the music happened, so that it would work both at parties, and listening at home with friends, in addition to the opportunity to debut in the first compilation of CONTROVERSIA. “We seek to do a crossover between Brazilian bass and a little bit of deep house, being a song that would work both on the dancefloor and on streaming platforms. The ‘100 Degrees’ conveys as much energy as a more ‘sexy’ vibe. We hope all fans will enjoy it. It’s been a pleasure to be part of the label’s first VA (Various Artists), CONTROVERSIA by Alok Vol. 001. Both I, and Dubdogz, raised the flag of Brazilian sound a lot, and I believe CONTROVERSIA has been a great platform to show our sound to the world”, he comments.
The Minas Gerais duo and the DJ and producer from Brasília have a great synergy. Their collab “Infinity”, by Spinnin’ Records, was one of the biggest hits of 2019, adding more than 60 million streams on Spotify, with support from Tiësto, The Chainsmokers, Timmy Trumpet, Bob Sinclair, Lost Frequencies, Robin Schulz, Sam Feldt, to name a few. In addition to the track, the artists recently presented an incredible b2b set in Jalapão, Brazil, a place where they took tours and witnessed the most beautiful sunrise ever recorded during Bhaskar’s live project, “Follow the Sun”. Another joint appearance by them during the pandemic was one of the CHURRASDOGZ episodes in Brasília.
