Ditch the resolutions and embrace the electronic music revolution. 2024 is all about welcoming new talent to the scene and watching them take off.
33below
Think euphoric melodies mixed with drum and bass, served with a side of UK Garage, that’s 33below. New Zealand native, Jack Laven, began his music career just a few years ago with the help of Tiktok. His viral remixes of songs from popular artists like Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish is what really got him noticed. For a newer artist, his resume is quite impressive. Most recently, he released his second EP ‘PUSHER’ last month, and also toured with RL Grime as an opener. In a recent Instagram post, Laven hinted at followers to expect big things from him in 2024, and we’re excited to watch him grow.
Henry Brooks
If you’re looking for the future of techno, look no further. Henry Brooks captivates audiences with his ultramodern, melodic sound that leaves listeners longing for more. The Michigan native began his music career in 2016, infatuated by Detroit’s profuse techno culture. He has been growing in popularity over the years, especially after receiving support from techno goddess Charlotte de Witte. This past year, he once again graced the stage at Movement Music Festival in Detroit, with promise to do even more in 2024.
Electric Polar Bears
2023 was just pawprints in the snow for Electric Polar Bears (EPB). The masked house music duo has been tearing it up since their premier in 2017, where they set out to accomplish their dream of combining an immersive theatrical experience with dance music. They had a true milestone year in 2023, from collaborating with Deorro, mixing for Paris Hilton, and playing at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). EPB is set to ring in the new year at Decadence in Arizona, setting their 2024 up for a wild start.
Repiet
If you’re a fan of future house, Repiet is a name you’ll want to remember. The Dutch DJ and producer had quite the milestone year in 2023, from having his music played by Martin Garrix, to playing support for Nicky Romero and Knock2, to making it into the Billboard Top 10 Dance Tracks earlier this month. This young DJ and producer is just getting started, with a bright future ahead and a lot to promise as we head into the new year.
1TBSP
Maxwell Byrne, Grammy-nominated mastermind behind Golden Vessel, has ditched his indie robes and donned the electronic music guise of 1TBSP. This year, Byrne surfed the playful club music wave, churning out vibrant EPs, videos, and an Apple Music mix, even sharing the stage with Four Tet and Jyoty. The Brisbane native dominated the scene in Australia in 2023, from showing at BIGSOUND to joining festival giants like SXSW Sydney and Groovin’ the Moo. He’s now fresh off his first US/Canada tour, and is poised to explode in 2024.
NUZB
This Brazilian musician and producer is definitely one to watch as we head into 2024. Professionally known as NUZB, Francisco Junior performed across the globe and dropped banger after banger this year. He even opened for STMPD RCRDS founder and friend, Martin Garrix, on several occasions, including at Ushuaïa Ibiza and his RAI show at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). NUZB’s stage presence and bigger-than-life personality continues to leave audiences craving more, which we will definitely be seeing more of in 2024.
VE/RA
At just 23 years old, techno DJ and producer VE/RA is ready to shock the world. The Netherlands native has already shared the stage with renowned techno artists like Kiki Solvej and Alignment, and has received support from industry legends like Amelie Lens, Nicky Romero, and Maddix. In 2023, VE/RA also made her Tomorrowland debut, as well as playing Thuishaven, 7th Sunday, and ADE. Having promised many exciting upcoming collaborations, VE/RA is undoubtedly an emerging talent to keep an eye on.
AVELLO
Last but not least on our list is AVELLO! Also known as Adam Lawrence, AVELLO is not just a DJ and Producer, but also a songwriter. Based in Orlando, AVELLO is a rising star in the bass music scene. He’s rocked the stage at some major festivals such as EDC Orlando and Forbidden Kingdom. He’s also opened for some of the biggest names in bass music such as Excision, Slander, Seven Lions, and more.
