5 Tracks You Won’t Believe Were Released 10 Years Ago!

David Guetta ft. Sia – Titanium
After taking the world by storm with the releases of ‘Memories’, ‘Sweat’, and ‘Who’s That Chick?’, French superstar David Guetta continued his smashing form of releases with ‘Titanium’. Drafting in Sia for her first worldwide smash, David Guetta proved once again that whatever he released was a guaranteed hit. With co-production credits to Afrojack, ‘Titanium’ dominated the global charts and has gained over 1 billion streams since its release. This single was released on the 8th of August, 2011.

Afrojack & Steve Aoki ft Miss Palmer – No Beef
Afrojack and Steve Aoki (collectively known together as Afroki) pulled it out of the bag with another huge track brought to you by courtesy of Wall Recordings. Adding once again to their ever-growing discography of hits, ‘No Beef’ incorporated those driving synths and powerful drops that made Afrojack and Steve Aoki worldwide players. With full support from DJs across the world and a total of over 100 million streams, ‘No Beef’ still holds up to this day as a true anthem. This collab was released on the 8th of August, 2011.

Calvin Harris – Feel So Close
Across twelve years and five albums, Scotland’s Calvin Harris has set his own agenda for global domination. From the retro-centric vibes of debut album ‘I Created Disco’, to spearheading the American EDM explosion with third album ’18 Months’, to his most recent conceptual ‘LP Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1’Calvin Harris‘ career has been underpinned by a desire to take his sound into new and meaningful avenues, crossing boundaries along the way. 2011 was a year like no other for the Scottish artist as he would dominate the global charts with the release of ‘Bounce’. He would then follow up on that hit with the amazing ‘Feel So Close’. ‘Feel So Close’  debuted at number two on the UK Charts becoming his sixth top ten single and has received over 600 million streams since its release. This single was released on the 20th of August, 2011.

David Guetta & Avicii – Sunshine
As if 2011 wasn’t a big enough year for both David Guetta and Avicii, the two would join forces and produce a true progressive house gem. The Frenchman was hot on the heels of releases what some describe as his best single, ‘Titanium’, while Avicii was teasing his mega-hit ‘Levels’ at all of his live shows. With this much talent involved, it would have been a shock if they didn’t produce a magical piece of progressive house, and that’s what they did! This single was released on the 26th of August, 2011.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso – Calling
Although the vocal version (which was released in March 2012) would be the more known version of this single, in 2011, Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso would team up alongside the emerging Alesso on ‘Calling’. A match made in heaven, these two producers combined like most artists would dream of, producing an uplifting progressive house anthem that would still be revered to this day as one of the greatest festival progressive tracks of all time. This single was released on the 31st of August, 2011.
