“Fifteen (Hardwell Edit)” – Blasterjaxx
Accomplished Dutch duo Blasterjaxx made their Revealed Recordings debut back in 2013, following in the footsteps of their label-hopping uprising with the perfect peak time antidote to the late summer blues. Last found alongside Quintino for ‘Puzzle’ and mustering label boss Hardwell for edit duties, ‘Fifteen’ probes the unveiling of yet another exclusive ID from his beloved Tomorrowland 2013 set and another accomplished young asset. Hardwell added his signature sound to ‘Fifteen’ making this a festival favorite of the summer, which celebrates it’s birthday on the 9th of September.
“I Am” – Axwell & Sick Individuals
Back in 2013, breakthrough Dutch DJ/Producer duo Sick Individuals and US vocalist Taylr Renee collaborated with house music royalty Axwell on the standout track of that year which came hot on the heels of Axwell‘s Beatport #1 ‘Center Of The Universe’ . Sick Individuals had turned heads across the electro and house landscape with big time releases such as their remix of David Guetta and Rihanna‘s hit ‘Right Now’ and their recent two-track release ‘Drum Machine/Chase’ through Size X. The latter signaled a rise in standards for the duo’s productions, and the release ‘I AM’ continued along that path. This track was released on the 16th of September.
“Ocarina” – Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ft. Wolfpack
Previewed in the official aftermovie of Tomorrowland 2012, fans of both Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Wolfpack had to wait over 1 year before they got the full release. Boasting an infectious melody topped with a certain style that made Avicii a house-hold name, ‘Ocarina’ dominated the festival scene for years to come and is still a main part of many DJ’s sets. This gem turns 6 years old on the 23rd of September.
“Faith” – Blasterjaxx
The rise of Blasterjaxx in 2013 seen the releases of main room anthems such as ‘Loud & Proud’ on Tiesto‘s Musical Freedom and ‘Snake’ on Steve Aoki‘s Dim Mak along with the previously mentioned ‘Fifteen’ and ‘Mystica’ on Hardwell‘s Revealed Recordings. A track that has flown under the radar for many mainstream fans but for die-hard fans of the Dutch duo, ‘Faith’ is one of the best release from this act. This single celebrates it’s birthday on the 3rd of September.
“Starlight (Could You Be Mine) (Otto Knows Remix) ” – Don Diablo & Matt Nash
Off the back of the infectious original by Don Diablo and Matt Nash came the official remix for summer smash ‘Starlight (Could You Be Mine)’ by Swedish dynamo Otto Knows, out on Axtone Records. Flicking the switch from the energy-infused electro, Otto gave ‘Starlight’ a rapturous face lift that is both defiantly uplifting and joyous in its nature. The remix stripped the original of it’s electro muscles replacing those with emphatic bass line swoops and a pumping four-to-the-floor drum stomp. This remix celebrates it’s 6th year birthday on the 30th of September.
“S.O.T.U.” – Nicky Romero & Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano ft. Fast Eddie
Having celebrated their landmark 100th release with the Beatport #1 success of label boss Steve Angello‘s own ‘SLVR’ with Matisse & Sadko, Size Records had no intentions of slowing down soon after. Following big releases from Ivan Gough & Jebu and Norman Doray, the label welcomed a powerhouse trio of artists to take the reins on their next release. Here Nicky Romero teamed up with Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano for the big room anthem ‘Sound Of The Underground’ featuring Fast Eddie. This original track also celebrates it’s birthday on the 30th of September.
