Hot on the heels of the announcement of her upcoming album, ‘One Suitcase’, SHAB releases her 2nd single from the album, ‘Swerve’. The single comes shortly after the release of ‘Afterglow’ and is a song that blends romance with a heavy club beat.
Co-composed by Damon Sharpe, JHart, and SHAB herself, ‘Swerve’ delves into the excitement of a new romantic relationship, turning the initial uncertainties into a playful game for two. Pairing those romantic elements with a heavy club beat makes it an instantly addictive dance-floor filler, compelling listeners to move while also resonating on a deeper level. SHAB’s personal story is just as compelling as her music. She escaped Iran as a young girl, arriving in New York alone, speaking only Farsi and German. Despite those challenges, she graduated from university and briefly attended law school before pursuing music full-time. Now, SHAB is using her platform to advocate for women’s rights in Iran.
