Earlier this year, AMF announced the 2023 edition to be the first chapter in the next decade of its existence. After unveiling the first names, the world-renowned event caught everyone’s attention by keeping one of their biggest headliners a secret. Now AMF is revealing Charlotte de Witte to be the latest addition to the 2023 line-up and this year’s official The Next Decade act.
With the addition of Charlotte de Witte, AMF is living up to their name in booking dance music’s foremost artists. Sharing the AMF stage with de Witte in 2023 will be Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, James Hype, Meduza and several others.
Charlotte de Witte is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in dance music and a bonafide superstar among her generation. The Belgian DJ has momentum unlike any other, as shown by her closing the Tomorrowland mainstage in 2022 as well as her groundbreaking performance at Lowlands in 2023. Since its inception in 2013, AMF has claimed their spot as Amsterdam Dance Event’s biggest and most influential stage. With Charlotte de Witte claiming her spot as one of electronic music’s most popular acts, the match seems made in heaven.
One decade into its existence, AMF is turning the page, anticipating who dance music’s next superstars are. “We’ve always been proud to book the biggest names in our industry at AMF.” Says ALDA co-founder and CEO Allan Hardenberg. “What we’re seeing now is an artist that is undeniably claiming her space as one of dance music’s biggest stars. We firmly believe that artists like Charlotte de Witte are the future so we felt that we should be offering her a platform like AMF to spread that sound.”
AMF 2023 will also offer a unique opportunity to see Headhunterz perform one of his last shows, let alone at this scale. Headhunterz recently announced he will stop performing after 2023 to focus on producing music.
In addition to charting new territories from a musical perspective, AMF is also leading the way when it comes to content creation at their events. Today, AMF is proudly announcing TikTok to be the event’s official content partner. Together with TikTok, AMF will be able to spread their unparalleled show production and world-class DJ performances with as large an audience as possible. Through strategic partnerships like the one with TikTok, AMF’s high-quality content created during the event can take on a new life of its own.
Speaking on the partnership, Farhad Zand, TikTok Music Partnerships, said: “As TikTok deepens its engagement with electronic music, we’re so excited to partner with AMF as we return to Amsterdam Dance Event for the second year. ADE is an iconic and hugely influential event in the global electronic music industry and we can’t wait to return with our TikTok hub to explore ways to continue growing such an exciting and musically diverse genre.”
