On Saturday, October 22nd, AMF is celebrating ten years of transforming Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff Arena into the world’s biggest club during Amsterdam Dance Event. As well as hosting an array of dance music’s leading acts, including Armin van Buuren, Brennan Heart, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, Timmy Trumpet, Topic, and AMF’s very own II=I concept. With this year an exclusive back-to-back set from Afrojack and Nicky Romero. AMF will once again be the stage of the annual DJ Mag Top 100 ceremony. For the tenth consecutive year, the world’s #1 DJ will be revealed during AMF, marking a decade of one of the biggest, most influential partnerships in dance music. All ticket holders of the 2021 edition will keep their tickets while the limited remaining amount is now available via amf-festival.com.
Over the past decade, AMF has become the certified must-see for any dance music fan coming down to Amsterdam Dance Event each year, becoming world-renowned for their otherworldly stage production and unmatched line-ups. During its ten-year span, AMF has brought some of the biggest names in music to their events as well as catapulted DJs into superstardom during the annual DJ Mag Top 100 ceremony. From Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren to The Chainsmokers and Alesso, AMF has really played host to an extraordinary cast of stars. This 10th anniversary will be a testament to AMF’s previous highlights as well as a glimpse into what it has in store for the next decade, an edition not to miss out on.
“It’s unbelievable to imagine that we’ve already been doing this for so long. A lot of things have changed since the first edition back in 2012. These last years have been challenging, but with AMF we’ve managed to keep a very positive momentum and we’re extremely thrilled to celebrate our tenth anniversary on another high note. Seeing these legendary artists come together on the line-up and uniting so many like-minded people from all over the world under our roof again is the reason we’re in this business”, says Allan Hardenberg, CEO and co-founder of ALDA.
Undoubtedly one of the most high-profile moments of the year is the annual big reveal of DJ Mag’s Top 100 list. The ceremony has been key to AMF’s success, gathering a cult-like following among dance music fans eager to find out who will take the crown. Past winners include Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Hardwell, and Tiësto, who have all graced the stage of AMF at some point over the past decade. Tiësto, Martin Garrix, and Armin van Buuren, all part of the upcoming line-up of AMF, took the crown a total of 11 times in the list’s 25-year existence. The DJ Mag Top 100 has played an instrumental role in bringing dance artists to the forefront of the global music scene, with many of the previous winners now being at the top of the charts in pop music as well. The partnership between AMF and DJ Mag is a striking example of two industry powerhouses elevating the genre to the highest level it’s ever seen.
