Animate Make Their First Solo Appearance On IN / ROTATION Imprint With Wiggly Bass House Single ‘Frisky’!

After making their first impression on the imprint with their zappy, oscillating “IDGA” contribution to the second installment of IN / ROTATION’s ongoing ‘Rotate Vol. 2’ compilation, the duo from Arizona is now stepping out with their first proper single on the label. “Frisky” is a seamless leap from its predecessor, rolling out via thudding percussive hits and a hat-snare combo that transports a hot-and-bothered vocal loop. Once the build starts to crescendo and reach the breaking point, Animate cracks open a nasty bassline groove powered by wiggly, high-pitched synth squawks and low-humming vibrations.

“This track is about making your entire body feel frisky,” says Animate, and the track truly does exactly what the name says on the tin.

The two-man operation from Gilbert, Arizona, have been steadily gaining momentum since first surfacing in the bass house space in 2018, with a growing discog that counts releases on Gold Digger, Jadu Dala and Brohouse. They’re also coming off a sensational live streaming set as part of the Discovery Project hosted event during the EDC Las Vegas 2020 Virtual Rave-a-Thon. Wielding a fun and decidedly bouncy sound, Animate is most definitely an artist you should be watching carefully.
