The death of Avicii in 2018 was a huge blow to the electronic dance music scene as millions across the globe were inspired by his impressive and unique productions such as ‘Levels’ to ‘Wake Me Up’. His music, which is still streamed by millions, continues to carry his legacy forward and with the recent anniversary of his passing, many artists are deciding to pay tribute to the Swedish legend. One of those paying tribute is French artist Anion, who recently released a remix of ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’.
Anion is a young French DJ and producer at the age of 21, who has been interested in music from his childhood. Since a very young age, he has grown a love for both acoustic and house music, so as an artist he has found a balance between these two styles in order to create his own signature sound. On the performing side, Anion has played in many clubs in France and even at some prestigious festivals such as Tomorrowland Winter.
For this tribute remix, Anion takes the original track and strips it to the bones. Removing the vocals and the uptempo pop feel, Anion builds this single around the magnificent melody. Using a slow tempo, Anion sets the tone with a subtle yet effective piano riff. As the track progresses, the French artist adds low lying bass lines which add tons of groove into the single. With this one, Anion pays tribute in an amazing way.
