Connecting Asia With the Wider Electronic Music Industry

When Asia Music Event first announced its Hong Kong launch, it introduced speakers from Beatport, Warner Music Group, Ismaya Group, Djakarta Warehouse Project, Lisbon Dance Summit, The Magic of Tomorrowland and more. The newly announced names broaden those discussions by bringing in people working across major festivals, labels, talent agencies, nightlife businesses and live entertainment companies in Asia and overseas.

That range reflects what AME wants to create in Hong Kong as electronic dance music scenes continue to grow across Asia. Local festivals, clubs, promoters, artists and music communities are developing in different ways across the region, while international interest in Asian markets continues to increase. By bringing those perspectives together, AME gives industry professionals the chance to exchange ideas, learn how different markets operate and form relationships that can continue beyond the two-day event.

“Over the past three decades, I’ve seen how important it is to create spaces where people can meet, exchange ideas and build relationships that continue long after an event itself,” said Meindert Kennis, former CMO of Spinnin’ Records and former CEO of Amsterdam Dance Event. “Asia has a lot of incredibly diverse music scenes which come with challenges, but foremost with a lot of exciting opportunities. Bringing all those perspectives and cultures together in Hong Kong creates a valuable opportunity for people across the worldwide industry to learn from one another.”

AME Programme Director Marco Zhu added: “AME is built on the belief that some of the most valuable industry exchanges happen beyond the stage. At a time when Asia’s role in electronic music continues to expand, AME represents an ambitious step towards building a lasting platform for international exchange and collaboration.”

Beyond the Conference Sessions

Across the two days, attendees will be able to take part in panels, workshops, networking opportunities and artist showcases before the event continues into Hong Kong’s nightlife with the AME Official Closing Party. This also gives artists and emerging professionals another opportunity to meet people working across different parts of the electronic music industry outside the formal conference sessions.

The closing party also ties into AME’s partnership with Tomorrowland Academy for its global DJ contest. One emerging DJ will earn the opportunity to perform at the party on November 27, while also attending the conference and meeting professionals working across the electronic dance music scene.

With November 26–27 approaching, Asia Music Event will bring together people working across festivals, labels, talent agencies, nightlife, international touring and artist development for its first edition at Soho House Hong Kong. The aim is to give professionals from across Asia and the wider electronic music industry a place to meet in person, exchange perspectives and explore opportunities beyond their individual markets.

Tickets for Asia Music Event 2026 are available now through PLVR, with further event information available via the official Asia Music Event website.
