Since the unfortunate passing of Tim Bergling in April of 2018, many fans of the Swedish superstar were happy to hear that his legacy would not be forgotten or ignored as his family released a posthumous album entitled ‘Tim’. This tribute album contained multiple unreleased singles from Avicii including his highly anticipated single ‘Heaven’ with Chris Martin of Coldplay . The profits from this album went towards the Tim Bergling Foundation which was set up by Tim‘s family and it aims to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. It has been confirmed that the previously mentioned album was not the only project that Tim‘s family have been working on, as they have announced an Avicii tribute concert to be held in Stockholm which features performances from many of Tim‘s close friends in the industry such as Nicky Romero, David Guetta, Aloe Blacc, Rita Ora and more.
Scheduled to take place on Thursday December 5th at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, tickets go on sale Thursday September 5th at 10am CET and you can see the lineup below with many more artists to be announced. In an official statement about the Tim Bergling Foundation, the family of Tim revealed that there would be many more upcoming Avicii-related projects – “Tim’s parents have endowed the foundation with a significant contribution from his estate and will direct proceeds from future Avicii projects and the recent release of the posthumous album ”TIM” (2019) to the foundation”. This has sparked much discussion and speculation has begun regarding a possible remix album of ‘Tim’ or new music and events being announced which will please many Avicii fans across the world.
