Irish superstars Belters Only return with new single ‘My Mind’, out now on Polydor Records. Having already found a raucous reception in clubs and viral success on social media – including 120k plays on Soundcloud – ‘My Mind’ is a hotly anticipated single and yet another knockout from the Irish DJ duo.
Sampling the Yebba song of the same name, ‘My Mind’ sees Belters Only crafting a trademark party anthem from a soulful vocal. Punchy percussion and melodic keys combine for a sumptuous house groove before a synth-heavy breakdown, as Yebba’s vocals pitch-shift into maddeningly catchy earworms.
The original single by Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Yebba, turned heads back in 2016, after the artist performed the track for Sofar Sounds, racking up an impressive 23 million views to date. As the track continued on an upward trajectory, Yebba officially released the single on DSP’s in 2021, catching the attention of Belters Only. Inspired by the track’s enchanting energy, the duo decided to transform the laid-back record into an instant floor-filler, once again exceeding expectations with their ingenious production skills.
Following a breakthrough 2022, Belters Only have now amassed almost 500 million streams with their own anthem brand of house music. ‘Make Me Feel Good’ was the 12th biggest selling song of the year in the UK and the duo have just hit an impressive 60k TikTok followers, 50k on Instagram, and 40K YouTube subs, as well as finishing up 2022 as the 6th most viewed TikTok music page across all genres in Ireland.
After releasing their Soundcloud-only project Irish Only, which held the top of the New & Hot chart in Ireland, the duo capped off the year with their EP 2022 Only, which consolidated their position as the hottest new DJ duo to watch.
With the pair now selling out huge venues in mere minutes – including just recently the 2000-capacity Telegraph Building in Belfast – ‘My Mind’ promises to be a soaring set highlight for Belters Only’s rapidly growing fan base.
