As an artist, chasing your dream can be a daunting task. Taking that risk is Benjamin Storset as he quit his job earlier this year to move to a remote location where he can focus solely on his artistic journey. Playing the guitar and drums since a young age has helped him progress as an up and comer within the music scene but he admits he has a lot to learn on the digital side. Releasing only 3 tracks in just over a year, we can see he has grown leaps and bounds, becoming a polished producer along the way.
For ‘Smoke And Ash’, Benjamin Storset steps into the world of vocal progressive house for the first time and he smashes those expectations out of the park. He sets the tone for wonderful listen with elegant female vocals and combining them with a beautiful piano riff. As the track progresses, he brings out his melodic side with an infectious melody. He then takes it one step further with uplifting synths as he builds towards the drop. The drop hits with no disappointment as pulsating bass lines occupy the low end with the aforementioned uplifting synths acting as the body of the single. There is much to look forward to as Benjamin Storset promises to bring us more solid productions.
