It’s been another amazing year for EDM, from sold-out festivals to out of this world stage design to new innovations in technology. Let’s rewind the clock and let’s celebrate some of our favorite moments from this past year.

Together, they delivered an unforgettable 86-minute spectacle, marking one of the most memorable highlights of the year.
Best Livestream Set – Armin van Buuren Untold Dubai
After throwing down a five hour set at Untold Festival in Romania, Armin van Buuren put on an earth shattering livestream in Dubai. The livestream took place on the rooftop of Burj Khalifa breaking not one but two world records: the highest performance on top the tallest building in the world and the largest LED screen ever to be used in a show.
Best Laser Show – Excision at Lost Lands
Hit me with those laser beams! This year’s best laser show took place during Excision’s set at Lost Lands in Ohio, USA. This two hour set absolutely blew us out of the water.
Best MVP Moment – Alison Wonderland playing EDC Vegas 9 months pregnant
Headlining at EDC Vegas is a huge honor but with a baby on the way? Now that’s just epic. Alison Wonderland rocked the stage while nine months pregnant this year. Shortly thereafter, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Max.
Best Visuals – Tale of Us at Coachella
When it comes to visuals no one quite does it like Tale of Us. Using state of the art technology Tale of Us consistently takes their sets to the next level and Coachella was no exception.
Best End Show – Defqon
From incredible fireworks to next level lasers, the Defqon end show this year left Weekend Warriors wanting more. As the sun set on Defqon and Hardstyle blasted through the speakers, it’s no surprise that Defqon had the best end show this year.

Speaking of sunsets, we couldn’t have a 2023 recap list without mentioning Fred Again! Fred Again threw down an amazing sunset set this year at Glastonbury.
Best Sunrise Set – John Summit at Club Space Miami
Club Space in Miami is infamous for its late nights (or early mornings?). John Summit threw down an eight hour set over the summer. The cherry on top of the cake? John Summit plus the Miami sunrise!

This year’s Best Mainstage goes to Tomorrowland in Belgium. This year’s Adscendo Mainstage made Cinderella’s castle look like a toy model! The stage standing at 43 meters high and 160 meters wide with a whopping 740 square meters of video tiles and 48 fountains was something out of a literal fairytale.
