Bhaskar Delivers Mix Of Vocal House & Retro Wave Grooves On New Track ‘Hours and Hours’!

Brazilian DJ and producer Bhaskar returns to his family label CONTROVERSIA with a mesmerizing new single – “Hours and Hours.” Blending vocal house with retro wave sounds, the release is truly a testament to his ability to experiment and master different genre-bending styles. It opens with groovy 80s-inspired melodies and surreal vocal hooks overtop of deep, driving basslines for an experience that will both give you goosebumps and make you get on the dancefloor right away. “Hours and Hours” is a sultry but energetic gem that follows his recent single “Round My Head” with Yves V and “U Got My Body,” also on Alok‘s label.

This song was really fun to make because I can participate in the whole creative process. First, I got the vocals from the songwriters, but there were some things I wanted to change in the vocals. So I had a meeting with them, gave them my suggestions, and we were able to adjust. Regarding the instrumental, I was based a lot on what I have proposed for my last songs, which is to make music more for the dance floor. So I wanted to keep its atmosphere which is more of a “deep” thing, but at the same time make it rock on the dance floor. I’m very happy with the result, and it has worked a lot in my sets.” – Bhaskar

Bhaskar began his history in 2004, still at age 12, when his first project with his twin brother Alok started. It all began as a hobby, but in a short time, they were already splitting their time between the studies and the studio. Son of renowned DJs Swarup and EkantaBhaskar was inspired by his parents’ success and soon started to tour the world playing his music. Throughout his career, the Brazilian has collected a few hits to his name, including “Fuego” (145M+ Spotify streams) and “Infinity” (110M+ Spotify streams). His talents have led him to collaborate with and remix artists, including Tomorrowland resident Yves VMoguaiDubdogzWankelmutLucas Estrada, the Brazilian pop star Anitta and his brother AlokBhaskar has some more surprises up his sleeve, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
