4 years on from the release of his very first album, BIJOU presents us with his ‘LIGHTS OUT’ EP. An EP that encapsulates a decade’s journey of relentless dedication and evolution in the realm of electronic music, BIJOU marks a pivotal moment in his illustrious career. The EP comes as the innovative producer looks to redefine his own sound while also paying homage to his roots and when you take a listen you can see why it holds a special place for the artist.
The lead single, ‘Chit Chat’, released on the 19th of January, showcases the growth in sound that BIJOU has gone through since his last album in 2020. Accompanying this lead single we’ve got dancefloor fillers such as ‘Mercy’, ‘Mobbing’, ‘Firestarter’, ‘Slow Motion’, and ‘All Over Me’. With collaborations alongside No/Me, AK RENNY, Dr. Fresch, and Gold Lemonade, it’s no surprise that this album is packed with heavy hitting singles. Not just an album packed with bangers, but they are all blended together in a story with multiple interludes between each track bringing them all together in unison.
This EP is not just a collection of tracks; it’s a narrative of growth, exploration, and the pursuit of a sound that resonates on a grand scale. With the promise of large vocal-driven house records set to drop later this year, BIJOU is poised to captivate audiences worldwide, proving that his musical journey is one that continually defies expectations. ‘LIGHTS OUT’ is more than an EP – it’s a milestone, marking the evolution of a music producer who has not only mastered his craft but is ready to redefine it.
