Miami-based EDM trio Booyah Riot have crafted a banging ballad that is sure to light up any room. The group’s 7th original release spreads like an ear-pleasing virus. Channeling vibrant house vibes, Booyah Riot’s ‘Somebody Like You’ is a treat for any EDM lover.
This lyric-focused track shows a softer side of this Miami-based DJ trio. It describes a guy that is away and cannot be with his love. Every thought and experience reminds him of how much he wants to connect: “If I had my way I’d be calling home to you.” Soft keys lead in with crisp vocals that move the song forward. Once the bass drops percussive elements come together for a vibe that can brighten up any room. Vocal manipulation and lively keys send the listener’s mind to a daytime pool party.
Working together for over 4 years now, Gio, Kong, and Wilemind have been making waves throughout many EDM circles. Previous releases, ‘2AM’ reached #11 on the Billboard Dance Charts and their remix of Macy Gray’s – ‘I Try’ was featured on EDM Sauce, By The Wavs, and Rave Rafting, to name a few.
This latest track is further proof that Booyah Riot can please a variety of audiences. Infiltrating DJ booths from Lavo (NY), Encore Beach Club & XS (Las Vegas), these jokesters are on the rise in a major way.
