Having already impressed with his remix of ‘Slut Me Out’ in June, CARLYLE is back on our new music feeds and he is coming with a true present in the form of his free remix of ‘Firework’ by Katy Perry. A pop single with elements of electronic influences, ‘Firework’, originally released in 2010, still stands the test of time, being Katy Perry‘s 4th most popular single on Spotify and is now receiving remix treatment by CARLYLE, as he turns it into a dance floor banger.
CARLYLE is an American DJ and producer who has been in the scene for a number of years now. A diverse artist with multiple influences and styles, when you take a listen to his catalog you’ll understand. He has released singles, collabs, and remixes under the banners of bass house, electro house, future house, moombahton, trap, and more. And now with this remix, CARLYLE can put techno into that list.
Right from the beginning, the remix kicks off with a hard hitting techno kick and melody that sets the tone for what’s to come. The American then introduces the vocals with subtle yet atmospheric synths backing them up, setting a tone of tension that builds and builds towards the drop. Once the drop comes we are blown away as those hard hitting kicks make a return as the vocals continue. In a creative twist, CARLYLE switches up the key of the kicks, making for a fresh listen.
