Fresh off their sold-out headlining show in Denver, and playing alongside acts like Loud Luxury, SG Lewis and Medasin, Phiilo have quickly amassed a dedicated following for their never-before-heard blend of EDM, R&B, and Soul.
Critics and tastemakers alike have also begun to realize the Colorado-based duo’s potential; labels like EDM.com, BonFire Records, and Uprise Music have signed several songs, and Phiilo recently won an official Atlantic Records remix contest, which topped the charts of Hype Machine. Other notable blogs such as Your EDM, EARMILK, First Ear, and 303 Magazine have also featured the duo’s original music. Spotify and Spinnin’ Records have followed suit by highlighting Phiilo in their “Discover Weekly” and “Pop/Dance” playlists.
After meeting in Boulder, Colorado, Nick Carruth and Jonny Etheridge capitalized on a unique musical chemistry and hit the studio, writing what would become the first few Phiilo singles (including ‘Closer’, which blends live guitar riffs with silky keys, airy R&B vocals, and punchy synth melodies). Less than a year later, they traveled to Moscow, Russia to perform for an exclusive Möet Champagne event. Now they are gearing up to release an EP, which will contain some of their most promising work yet.
