Coolcom is n emerging artist from Denver, Colorado. After ghostwriting for major artists in the music industry throughout his teenage years, he began producing his own music after seeing deadmau5 and Kaskade at a rave in college and hearing ‘Until One’ by Swedish House Mafia. Initially using Apple’s Logic and a handful of third-party plug-ins, he released three songs online under an alias via SoundCloud. This in turn led to a job with MTV, scoring tracks for the hit reality series “Jersey Shore” as well as “The Real World”, “Road Rules”, and others. The success inspired him to begin a career as a full time artist and DJ, performing under the Coolcom moniker. In 2019, he formed his own label (Sex Appeal Records) and publishing company (Sex Appeal Publishing). Now entering a brand new year, Coolcom follows on from his previous releases ‘Body Language’ and ’12’ and treats us to a brand new original production ‘Chemical Reaction’.
Coolcom sets the tone for this single right away with a deep-lying bassline synth that is combined with simple but effective drum work. It doesn’t take too long before the American artist injects some energy into the single with a rhythmic and fast-paced bassline combined with memorable vocals. Coolcom then shows off his melodic side for the first break down as he incorporates an uplifting section before building towards the drop. The drop hits with no disappointment as powerful bass lines are combined with an uplifting topline synth that tops this track off perfectly. He then returns to that melodic break down before heading back for the second drop which is just as infectious as the first.
